The reason that I want to get my bachelor of Science in Nursing at Liberty University is because I want to be able to work in the hospitals but have a stronger Christian outlook on medicine than other nurses. I want my patients to look at me and not only see me, but I want them to see Christ though me. I do not just want to be in Liberty’s Nursing program because of the Christian outlook that it will give me, but because it has a great reputation. I want to go to a college where I know that I am learning everything that I possibly can and know that I will be fully equipped for my career. I am currently an EMT and firefighter and I want to be able to walk further with my patients then just into the front doors of the Emergency room. I want to
My ambition is to graduate St. Francis College as a Registered Nurse with a Bachelor’s degree in the upcoming years. Although majoring in nursing will not be easy, I feel I am prepared for the challenge. At this time in my life I cannot see myself majoring in anything else. As a young girl, with a mother working in the medical field, I was always fascinated going to work with her. Working in a doctor’s office these past two and a half years myself has given me much experience with patients and has made it more to clear to me that this is what I want to pursue as a career. I wish to be a nurse because I seem to get a feeling of warmth and internal satisfaction when helping those in need. I have begun to learn that medicine is not the only cure for people’s ailments. It is the care they receive by those around them whether it is in a hospital, nursing home, or even their own home. This is where I believe that I can make a great difference in people 's lives by helping them recover.
Growing up as a non-denominational Christian and still consider myself one. Over the past few years I have no attended church as often as I should. I am hoping to get back into applying my Christianity to everyday life and I’m hoping that CCU will help me with that. My mother attended this school to receive her Bachelors degree and only had great things to say about it. We were speaking a few weeks back how I have been striving to get back to my religion and have not had motivation to do so. She suggested attending CCU so that I can start learning to apply my religion to nursing. So here I am, ready to learn. As a nurse I have an opportunity to have a huge influence on many lives. Not only medically, emotionally, but spiritually. My patients
I am a sophomore at Liberty University located in Virginia. I am currently enrolled in the Interdisciplinary studies degree plan. As a child, my mother was a nurse who is deeply involved in her religion which is Christianity. She was my role model and I admired her dedication. I believed that I was religious, hardworking and dedicated just like my mother. My mother wanted me to be a nurse and to attend nursing school. In high school, I went to a school that mainly focused on the nursing curriculum outside of the basic high school leveled courses. However, after experiencing my time in the nursing courses throughout high school I did not seem to be very interest in that career. I wanted to be a lawyer, psychiatrist, or Business manager in Information
It is said that the environment of our upbringing plays a salient role in determining the ambitions we pursue, the moral values we cherish and ultimately, the lasting contributions we make to society. I firmly believe that my formative experiences laid down the foundation for passion for nursing and constitute one of the salient reasons why I am determined to pursue this profession. For me nursing, is more than a mere vocation, it is a moral commitment, the manifestation of my natural talents and the actualization of the deep-seated aspirations that I have nourished since childhood. My mother was an accomplished nurse and always set a remarkable example for me to follow by displaying virtues of compassion, moral courage and dedication to the public good. My life experiences compelled me to emulate her example by cultivating the virtues of compassion and genuine sensitivity to patients. My formative experiences and core values led me to enter this career in the capacity of a Certified Nursing Assistant where I was distinguished for not only my competence as a nurse assistant, but also for my remarkable sensitivity to the needs of the patients. I intend to continue to actualize my natural talents by pursuing a career in Nursing.
As a freshman in high school I majored in Health Care Studies. As I already knew then that I wanted to help people by working in the medical field. I worked in the city of Philadelphia Public Healthcare offices. I worked at Health Center #9 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania located in a small section known as Germantown. This area of the city had a lot of people who were and still are underserved. This facility is for people in the city that do not have Health insurance or access to healthcare. Many would go there for free medications, blood work, general health care and x-rays. As a new patient waiting to be seen by a licensed professional you could potentially
In the near future, I will graduate with my Bachelors of Science in Nursing degree from East Carolina University. Guiding my ultimate nursing goals is my love for children. As a mother already, I have learned and immensely enjoyed my journey with my six-year-old child thus far. However, I would love to expand my knowledge on the unique needs of the pediatric patient population. The pediatric patient population is very diverse, due to the various stages of life within this populace. In the near future, I hope to expand my understanding and experience with pediatric patients through becoming a registered nurse on a pediatric nursing unit within a hospital. However within ten years, my goal is to become a school nurse. This being said, there is an extensive field of knowledge and training I will need to gain in order to achieve my ultimate nursing goal of serving all children in their medical and developmental needs.
Once reciving my nursing degree from Montana State nursing program I will be looking for a job in the state of Montana. I am particularly drawn to rural medicine and there is an abundance of small communities in Montana that are in need of nurses. In the future I plan on continuing my education and become a Nurse Practitioner, with a specialty in internal medicine. While shadowing a NP in internal medicine I was amazed at what this job entails. The challenges of their daily job as well as the responsibilities they hold, was inspiring to witness. To become an NP in Montana is my dream job and with the help of the accelerated nursing program I believe I can accomplish that dream.
In the fall of 2017 I plan to attend Grace College and major in nursing and graduate with a bachelor's degree. Throughout my whole life I have always loved helping people by either going to mission trips or helping out for a fundraiser’s at my church. I have realized this early on in my life which has inspired me to pursue a nursing degree so that I can improve the lives of others. By researching different areas of where nurses can work I have always wanted to work in a large hospital and be a surgical nurse. I feel like this job fits many different areas of my life which include loving science and math classes, being a problem solver, being able to work long hours, and knowing where everything is at. There are many different options that come
As a thirty six year old adult my focus has shifted towards my career aspirations over
peacefully away in her mother’s arm. During her passing, I shed tears of grief and joy with her parents. Greif for the loss of an innocent soul and joy that this mother got one last opportunity to hold her child in her loving arms. Even if was only to whisper a soft good-bye.

The experience I encountered at clinicals to become a CNA had made me truly recognize that this was for me. I love being able to help others. I feel my best knowing I have just helped somebody. I have all the skills that I know will get me to where I need to be to have a successful college career, and future as a Registered Nurse. A great deal of students nowadays

Now, I am thinking on all the new knowledge and skills that I will acquired when I become a Nurse Practitioner and I feel a little scare but excited at the same time. I had the same feeling when I receive my letter of acceptance for nursing school, and also for the RN to BSN program. As I am finishing this program, I feel more prepare
My reason for desiring to enter Washburn’s School of Nursing is first, that I’ve heard it’s an amazing program and that the faculty are extremely helpful in getting their students educated and on the right path in order to become the outmost best they can be. Secondly, I hope to get the one on one feeling I’ve discovered from my first semester at Washburn University. I love that all of the professors actually take the time to get to know your personality and by the end of the semester, know all their students by name. I love the closeness of the atmosphere and all the faculty I’ve met on campus are helpful and kind.

As a competent registered nurse, my career goal is to become a healthcare quality improvement leader, a position that would enhance my commitment in promoting patient safety. I not only believe in enhancing the capacity of other care providers, but also in improving the quality of the healing environment for the benefit of both patients and their care providers. This means not only promoting collaboration with the multidisciplinary teams, but also building the necessary healing partnerships with our patients. To enhance the quality of the healing environment, I aspire to continue analyzing researches for evidence based practices and advocating for their actualization. I will continue focusing my time and energy in encouraging other nurses to improve their skills through formal education, so they can empower themselves as advocates of quality improvement for the benefit of their patients and coworkers.
