When I decided to become an engineer, I thought hard on what that entailed. I saw myself working on hands on projects with a skill and proficiency that I could truly be proud of. That's why after listening to the presentation for Manufacturing and Mechanical Engineering Technology in my freshman year here at Texas A&M I knew that this major was the best fit for me. The mentioning of learning how to manufacture and produce things from conception to finished product was very exciting to me. I also appreciate that the education is very application oriented rather than just teaching theoretical content. I feel that this directly prepares one for a future career in industry and this sense of job security is what really attracted me to this engineering

Texas A&M Corpus Christi’s location as well as the atmosphere attracted me to the campus. I grew up in a small town and when I visited the campus I felt at home. Education is a very important aspect to many people. For me, getting a well-rounded education will help me reach my lifetime goal of being happy and bringing that happiness to people by helping them. The spark of motivation came in a very unusual way. It happened when taking the mandatory Chemistry class sophomore year of high school. This class was interesting and eye-opening to me because it provided a different look on life. I knew after completing the class that I wanted to pursue a career in the medical and science field. Texas A&M University is my top choice school because I know that attending this school will give me the best education and it will also help me reach my goals in the future.

The school is all about having a group of motivated students that want to find betters way to do things. My aspirations are very similar and I cannot find a better place to continue my education. With a strong base in engineering and various STEM fields, there is a wide variety of interesting subjects that I would want to pursue at Georgia Tech. Georgia Tech focuses on fostering innovation towards the greater good and solving problems that would positively impact large groups of people and make the world a better place overall. Little kids everywhere have imagined what they will become as they grow up; a doctor, a musician, a teacher. As an eighth grader, I’ve been given the opportunity to look in-depth at what careers I should consider. Through surveys I’ve learned about my more prominent skills, which has led me to the discovery of paths I should take as I draw closer to high school. As I continue to see my results and take a deeper look at my possible plan for the future, I hope to learn more about myself, discovering a career choice I haven’t considered before, and end up with a better understanding of who I want to be.

My study of females continues. I have concluded, women are more social then men, and their strong affiliative behavior is fundamental to their lives.
