I am Hayley Romero. I attend Anna L. Klein school. I am 13 years old, and have big dreams. I was born in North Bergen, New Jersey. I am Ecuadorian, and I am proud. I am the only child, but I have a dog named Snoopy. I believe that I am an excellent student for County Prep High School. It would be a great opportunity for me and it is something that I am very excited to be a part of. I am a very sterling student and work very hard in school. I care a lot about my grades and continuously find areas where I can improve. I feel that being a part of County Prep High School would be a great jump-start to my future. I love to learn and always strive to improve myself. I always take pride in my schoolwork and work hard.

Framingham State University will prepare me for a productive life, enhance my learning and enhance my current leadership skills, intern this will contribute to my future once I graduate.An opportunity of this caliber would launch my learning and continue to ignite my passion for learning. I feel that all my experiences have lead me to find this school and get the most I can out of my time here if I get admitted.

Liberty is a based Christian University. Liberty University has Christian values. Liberty is one of the largest Christian University in the world. I chose Liberty University because I want a better future and I want to have a closer relationship with God. I want to grow spiritually and I like that Liberty University is a college based on religion. Their online programs are great and encouraging. Liberty has excellent academic programs. I have been involved in the Future Farmers of America chapter at Powhatan High School since my sophomore year of high school. I took my first agriculture class sophomore year because my older sister had taken a welding class and thoroughly enjoyed it. When in the class I learned about FFA and decided to join the club because I found it interesting. That year I learned more about the organization and became interested in becoming more involved in the organization. By becoming more involved in the FFA organization, I began to become passionate about the organization and wanted to ;earn how to become more involved. At the end of my sophomore year, I interviewed to become the Reporter of the Powhatan High School FFA chapter and I was honored to be appointed to the position. Once appointed the position, I was learned leadership and organizational skills in this position. At the end of my junior year, I was appointed the a Vice Resident of Chapter and I am currently serving in this position.

Acting is a way of escaping the world we live in. Acting will help me escape my own world. Wayland Baptist University, Home of the Pioneers will help me in my future acting career and will help me with scriptwriting.

Throughout my time at Cedar Creek High School I have achieved High Honor roll every semester. Currently I have a cumulative GPA of 97 or a 4.0, although this is commendable personally this is proof of my abilities but also ushers me to further my achievements. The most significant challenge I have faced was getting a full scholarship into the private school, American Heritage High School in Plantation. This challenge was crucial for me because I came to United States in the middle of sixth grade. To begin, there are numerous scholastic achievements that have made me and my family proud. One of the most important scholastic achievement has been my acceptance to CSUSM. As a first generation college student, my acceptance and determination to pursue a higher education has become by far the most extraordinary scholastic achievement. During grade school, I won many academic awards and was also a member of the academic bowl team. At the graduation ceremony in 8th grade, I received the R. Dean Truesdale award, which recognized students who scored highly academically and exemplified outstanding integrity. While taking the high school placement test, I scored highly and received a scholarship to attend Ursuline. During freshman year, I had a GPA of 4.37, and during my sophomore year, I had a GPA of 4.40. I am committed to improving myself academically, and my past academic accomplishments showcase this.

A gold plaque glistened on the stage, written on it was “Straight A’s All Three Years of Junior High”. Attending the academic ceremony as a 6th grader, I watched in awe as a few 8th-graders received this prestigious plaque. I thought to myself that I would work hard so that one day I could be on that stage and receive that award. For the rest of my Junior High career, I strove to get straight A’s in all of my classes. I remained persistent, focused, and dedicated.

Last year, I received a commendable G.P.A of 4.4. This proves that I not only take difficult courses like Honors and Ap classes, but also contribute great amount of hard work and dedication to overcome those challenges and succeed. Other than my transcript, I received man recognition for my academic achievements. I attended many Honor Rolls and received Academic Letter Award every year. In addition, I also participated in competitions, like Junior Math Leagues, Science Fair, and NHD(National History Day), to test my knowledge in academics. I competed in the Science Fair and won first place in school division. In NHD, I have received first place in school, district, and state competition. By participating in these competition, it motivates me to strive higher. Lastly, I am a member of NAHS(National Art Honor Society), NSHS(National Spanish Honor Society), NMHS(National Math Honor Society), and Tri M Music Honor Society. I know I will be successful in college because of the commitment I have given to my academics, and believe my grades reflect my dedication. For two semesters in a row, I have received a Certificate of Excellence for having a grade point average of 4.0 or higher in both the spring and fall semesters of 2016.
