Prior to my sophomore year I was honestly clueless of what I wanted to do, but as soon as I discovered that I wanted a career in the medical field I intended to do anything I could that would help me achieve my goal that is to first become a Registered Nurse. I took more vigorous classes, classes that would help my career, as well as by doing running start.
Currently as I mentioned, I am a running start student at Wenatchee Valley College, and am working towards not only my associates degree but also towards becoming a Registered Nurse. I intend to later on transfer to the University of Washington to further major either in Pediatrics as a pediatric nurse or in Kinesiology as an occupational therapist.
My sophomore year was when I discovered
As a Registered Nurse who knows the duties that his work demands, I have to demonstrate deeper understanding of the Health Directorate's core values of care, excellence, collaboration, and integrity in my professional nursing practice and patient care. To conform to the above mentioned values, I endeavor to appreciate that improving a patient's experience is integral in patient care. This can be achieved by doing away with fear and anxiety that protracts patients' healing process. Enhancement of the communication between my patients and I will also go a long way in hastening their recovery and their self-management.
After going through a lot of trial and error in my career, I have decided that I want to pursue being a Registered Nurse. Many things have led me to this career choice, including personal and financial gain. I have tried many other occupations and educational programs and none of them have fulfilled me like I believe nursing will. It has taken me a long time to get to this point and I often joke that I finally know what I want to be when I grow up. I will tell you about my journey and what I hope to gain in my future.
Registered nursing has always been something interesting to me. Ever since I was little I’ve always hated going to the doctors’ office because my doctor always had cold hands and the smell just made me grossed out. I think me not liking the doctors’ office is what made me want to be a nurse because as I got older I realized that doctors and nurses are just there to help you and that’s all what I want to do is help. This career is important in many ways as well because RNs’ help people when they are hurt, sick, and sometimes even when someone is dying. My dad used to be an RN’s assistant and he has talked to me about the job. He told me that the amount of children he helped over choking issues or allergies was incredible. I was told that if I was to see how many lives he helped saved I'd be amazed. Once he told me this I realized
I am applying to the Walden M.S. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling Program. I plan to practice as a licensed professional in counseling and Higher Education. I have always wanted to be a Clinical Mental Health Psychologist, working with individuals to help improve their mental and emotional health is something that I am committed to. Starting this program now is the best time because the information that I learned from my undergrad career would help me to be more successful in my grad career by learning more but at an advanced level. Once I receive my degree I plan to go back to school to get my doctorate degree in psychology, and utilize the skills that I have learned to open my own private practice that helps individuals who suffer with mental and emotional disabilities, within my practice I plan to let each individual patient talk about their issues and come up with a strategic plan for treatment. The personal qualities that I possess are having self-confidence and the ability to work and collaborate with others having the ability to be receptive to feedback while maintaining a positive attitude.
All my life I have wanted to make a difference in the world, to make my mark. I may not be able to do this on a worldly scale, but I can start by helping one person at a time. My plan for the future is not an easy one, but it is worth it. I intend on becoming a Registered Nurse to begin, then later going further and becoming a Practitioner Nurse. Hopefully with my plans, I can get there fairly quickly. I will be attending Western Oklahoma State College, starting off with my basics, which usually take about two years. Then go into the Nursing program that Western proffers, putting my Associates degree under my belt. I would like to start working as fast as I can in order to get all the debt I will have paid off so I can attend a Southwestern

Since I can remember I have always had a compassion and natural desire to care for my fellow man. Now having this opportunity, I remain committed to this task. During my nursing career as a Registered Nurse, I allow myself time to grow clinically and to expose myself to a variety of health care emergency situations which continues to be very valuable to me in strengthening my career. My Future Goal of Becoming a Registered Nurse From a very young age, I was fascinated by hospitals and everything that went on in them. I remember when I was little, visiting my Grandpa in the hospital and just being amazed by all the commotion in the halls, the beeps of the machines and the compassion my Grandpa’s nurse had while caring for him. It was then that I knew, I would become a nurse. 3 years ago, I had the privilege of attending the birth of my nephew.
It is said that the environment of our upbringing plays a salient role in determining the ambitions we pursue, the moral values we cherish and ultimately, the lasting contributions we make to society. I firmly believe that my formative experiences laid down the foundation for passion for nursing and constitute one of the salient reasons why I am determined to pursue this profession. For me nursing, is more than a mere vocation, it is a moral commitment, the manifestation of my natural talents and the actualization of the deep-seated aspirations that I have nourished since childhood. My mother was an accomplished nurse and always set a remarkable example for me to follow by displaying virtues of compassion, moral courage and dedication to the public good. My life experiences compelled me to emulate her example by cultivating the virtues of compassion and genuine sensitivity to patients. My formative experiences and core values led me to enter this career in the capacity of a Certified Nursing Assistant where I was distinguished for not only my competence as a nurse assistant, but also for my remarkable sensitivity to the needs of the patients. I intend to continue to actualize my natural talents by pursuing a career in Nursing.
All my life I've been asked the question, what do you want to be when you get older. Prior to high school I couldn't really give a specific answer. As I've grown these last several years in high school, I have finally recognized that my true passion lies within the medical and nursing field. As a high school senior currently taking a Clinical Studies course I have realized that what I truly want to be is a Nurse Practitioner in the ER. I am an outgoing and caring individual who is really looking forward to participating in many college activities, such a volunteering and devoting my time to the community and people in need. The University of South Carolina is a perfect fit for me because they offer an outstanding Nurse Practitioner's program,
Personal. I currently am looking to get a internship for new nurses in one of the hospital close to my area. I had been applying on a few places and am interested in applying for any positions that will allow me to get my foot in the door at a hospital and work my way up. I want to go into the field as soon as possible and start putting to practice all that I know and that I need to know for when I graduate and pass the board test. December 31, 2016.
I am currently working as a personal carer at the residential aged care facility. With the nature of work, I witnessed many residents suffer from various cognitive impairment conditions. Driven by a desire to understand the foundations of psychiatric disorders, I decided to return to school to study nursing, especially mental health field. While my professional interests were aimed to the geriatric nursing, later experiences have redirected me towards a career to the mental health area. By studying a higher education in the university, I would be able to pursuit nursing career as a registered nurse with the academic and practical knowledge that I will be gaining throughout the course and it will be beneficial to my career preparation by obtaining new experiences and enhancing evidence-based nursing skills with a variety of academic studies and researches.
I’m a student at Meadowbrook High School, I’m volunteering at Johnston-Willis Hospital as a Candy Striper. I believe there’s nothing more appealing to me than peace, and peace cannot be obtained without wellness. Helping others are one of my strengths, also rescuing children for medical issues will be a goal I’ll be interested to fulfill. As getting to know myself I’ am very determined and have a head on my shoulders, I’m more interested in people than being interested in myself. Also, I believe in becoming a nurse that will fulfill in my career in helping my community.
Sick-bowel. Bedpan. Blood. These things don’t faze me. I believe passion and dedication are ultimately what makes a successful Nursing Auxiliary. Not only is it how you care for your patient that will determine their outcome in life, but also the nursing auxiliary qualities and style. Not only do I have the enthusiasm to share my love of health and well being. I also have the knowledge, skills and inspiration to motivate people.
