My mom was born in Lubbock, Texas on May 28,1974 as Catina Renee Stewart. Her parent’s names were Michael Stewart and Cathy Stewart and she had an older sister named Angel Stewart who was born in 1972. Her father, Michael, served in the army and when my mom was three years old, they moved to Hanahan, South Carolina, which is right beside Charleston. My mom has two sisters who were born in Hanahan, named Melissa and Lindsy.
Volunteer work through high school has not only allowed me to grow as a person, break out of my comfort zone and expand my leadership skills, but has also allowed me to impact the lives of those around me. One of the organizations I have spent most of my time volunteering for is North South Foundation (NSF). NSF is a nonprofit organization that raises money by organizing educational classes and contests in the US to provide scholarships to poor children in India. While in middle school, I competed in NSF’s national science contest and their regional public speaking and essay writing contests, where I placed in the top three. Through this success, I earned a volunteer teaching position for essay writing and science classes, teaching elementary school students; an opportunity to give back to the community that helped me. This put me in the opposite position, now teaching students about various topics and administering tests, rather than
My education has equipped me with extensive, cutting-edge knowledge in holistic nutrition, health coaching, and prevention. Drawing on my expertise, in my new business I will work with clients, mostly women, to help make lifestyle changes and choose health-promoting ways that produce real and lasting results.

She began her career as a clinical pharmacist at a local hospital, while working part-time at the Baltimore VAMC. She, therefore, combined her passions of aiding the underprivileged and veterans who are deprived of substantial benefits. Furthermore, she began a scholarship fund at her alma mater, Notre Dame of Maryland University, for Hispanics/Latinos entering the STEM field. She wanted to give more support to the minorities in the scientific workforce, while encouraging greater populations to join, as well. Her investments for the students deviated from her recollections of seeing few minorities in the health professions, especially that of pharmacy. By providing a scholarship, she was able to help promising Hispanics/Latinos enter the professional health care

The reason that I want to get my bachelor of Science in Nursing at Liberty University is because I want to be able to work in the hospitals but have a stronger Christian outlook on medicine than other nurses. I want my patients to look at me and not only see me, but I want them to see Christ though me. I do not just want to be in Liberty’s Nursing program because of the Christian outlook that it will give me, but because it has a great reputation. I want to go to a college where I know that I am learning everything that I possibly can and know that I will be fully equipped for my career. I am currently an EMT and firefighter and I want to be able to walk further with my patients then just into the front doors of the Emergency room. I want to
Vance Matthews: I am from Marina, California where I attended Monte Vista Christian High School. It wasn’t until my sophomore year of high school that I decided to push myself so that I could get into a four year college. I shot-gunned my applications, applying to twenty two universities. When looking into Tufts, the passionate students and professors, and the varied programs the school offered, aligned with what I wanted in a school. Now, I can’t believe that I am a rising sophomore. My friends say I am an anomaly because my interests are extremely varied and I’m involved with so many activities. At Tufts, I’ve been mostly involved with the Institute for Global Leadership’s EPIIC program on Russia, and the ALLIES Civilian-Military organization.
Currently, I am in the process of earning my Bachelor’s degree in Biology with a pre-medical emphasis from Grand Canyon University. Upon graduation, I hope to attend either a medical or physician assistant school. My specific goal in the medical field is still up in the air, however, I am avidly exploring the fields of pathology, oncology, emergency medicine, and surgery. My interest in the medical field was sparked by my human anatomy and physiology class during my senior year of high school. Put simply, my life in high school was rough, and I was completely lost, as far as my career decisions were concerned. I enrolled in a human anatomy course, to fill a hole in my schedule during my senior
Before starting up a new business, entrepreneurs make the business plane to guide them towards their goals, objectives, and values. An important part of any business plane is mission statement. According to Deborah Sweeney, the author of "What's your Mission?", mission statement should summarize the whole business as it includes the goals and objective of the company. An attractive and well written mission statement should be simple and short to the point. Sweeney mentions that mission statement is important for all businesses and a company that does not have one should write the statement as soon as possible. Sweeney states that there are four main points for any mission statement: "value, inspiration, plausibility and
