The Daily Nebraskan seems like an incredible way to engage the UNL student body in current topics regarding the university, the country, and the world. During my senior year, I worked for a short span of time at my high school paper, ‘Imua Iolani. I always regretted not joining ‘Imua earlier. Of course, my motives for wanting to work at The DN now seem selfish, and I admit it--they are. But in addition to expanding my own life experiences, I want to help expand the lives of UNL students by reporting information and telling stories.

I intend to place myself to the most beneficial and constructive educational atmosphere that I can. Over the years, I had heard about Wake Forest simply from living in North Carolina, from hearing about their sports teams, and from knowing several people who attended Wake Forest. As I began my college search throughout high school, looking for a college that fit what I was looking for, I kept running into Wake Forest. I decided that I really wanted to apply to Wake Forest because, after looking into the school more and talking to some friends that currently attend, it seemed exactly like the college that I would love and be honored to go to. Wake Forest has impressed me with its academics, its campus and community, and its small and personal learning environment. Getting an education and spending a few very important years of my life at Wake
There are many reasons I picked Hutchinson Community College to attend this semester. The first reason was for sports. During my senior year of high school, I thought to myself that I do not want to be lazy and do nothing at school. Therefore I decided to go back into cheerleading. One of the Hutchinson Community College cheer coaches showed interest in me. However, I was undecided on which college I wanted to go to until a cheer recruiter came to me. Which comes to my next reason why I picked Hutchinson for schooling. Hutchinson Community College was a good choice for me because of my major and a good education. The teachers at Hutchinson Community College are good at their teaching. Hutchinson Community College had all my classes I needed
Education is a very important aspect to many people. For me, getting a well-rounded education will help me reach my lifetime goal of being happy and bringing that happiness to people by helping them. The spark of motivation came in a very unusual way. It happened when taking the mandatory Chemistry class sophomore year of high school. This class was interesting and eye-opening to me because it provided a different look on life. I knew after completing the class that I wanted to pursue a career in the medical and science field. Texas A&M University is my top choice school because I know that attending this school will give me the best education and it will also help me reach my goals in the future.
I also write for The Brandeis Hoot in the arts and opinions sections. I think my time in the newspaper has allowed me to develop, already, research skills and understand what journalism is all about. It is to be at a place and time on behalf of other people, who cannot be there, in order to obtain accurate information and inform the public. Working for the newspaper has also allowed me to get out of my comfort zone, try new things, and work under

As a dedicated, hardworking, and energetic individual there are several qualities I could bring to the table at Baylor University. To name a few, I could be a great addition to the community service and involvement not only on campus, but in the Waco metropolitan area, because I’m passionate about giving back. My experience in community service throughout my life includes a local service club, Changemakers, my school’s Leo club where I volunteered to make props for my town’s Christmas festival, at concessions in several elementary school fairs, and running our school’s recycling program, shows that I work hard to serve my community. Another quality I could bring to Baylor is my energy. I enthusiastically and passionately commit to everything
In the summer of 2011 after persuading my father that journalism was my passion and not nursing, I enrolled in Price George’s Community College. For two years, I studied Public Relations and Journalism. I learned about the power of free speech and free media. I gained respect for the First Amendment; the bedrock for Watergate. Here, anyone could share their opinion no matter how unpopular. This was new and fascinating considering the restrictive nature of my free press in my home country. So the more I learned, the more intrigued I became.
