I am privileged to return to the work environment at Northwell Health to further broaden my knowledge of the emergency room as well as the complexities involving a hospital system. Prior to my job as an Academic Associate, I had no exposure to administrative tasks, and simply assumed I lacked the aptitude to complete the necessary duties. Yet, from working with physicians to plan continuing medical education conferences and grand round series, I see how I am able to incorporate my interpersonal and organizational skills to coordinate these conferences.
Goals, goals, goals they're what people think about and how they are going to achieve them in the future. My three goal in life are to get in the college of my choice, go skydiving and to get a well paying job. These three goals are important to me because they are what I am likely to achieve within the next ten years. As I grow and blossom into someone big, someone bigger than who I am today I don’t mean just physically but bigger intellectually, and more capable. These goals show me that if I want to achieve them, then I have to work hard to accomplish them.
My internship experience at FRB Realty Capital was an introduction to the financial services industry. As a summer investment analyst, I was able to perform financial analysis on properties, research on property locations, create powerpoint and pitch books for our lenders to evaluate, and analyzed financial statements of the investor that were looking to finance in all asset classes. Also, I developed and improved my technical skills such as excel, powerpoint, and research abilities within the real estate industry as well. The internship was a fantastic introduction to financial services industry and I was very fortunate to use the experience and leverage at the SEC this past spring semester. At the SEC, I was a risk assessment intern at the Division of Economic and Risk Analysis in the Office of Risk Assessment.
My father obtained his Master’s in Business Administration degree while I was in seventh grade. Strategic planning, core competency, due diligence, and monetize were just a few of the terms grasped into my vocabulary at that time. Late nights of typing papers highlighted the determination he embodied and the seriousness of
The purpose of education to me is freedom and have a happy, comfortable life. I was told by whole family that with education can help you to be anyone and go anywhere. It was also support by one of the most influential chiefs of the Navajo people, Chief Manuelito who said, “Grandchildren education is the ladder.” Every time I hear that quote, I understood that education is a tool to get you a good life or to go somewhere. My family wasn’t wealthy and struggle with the bills and my parent told me if they completed or went to college they will be living a more comfortable life. In my opinion, they taught me to be grateful of the things they gave me and to understand that I can’t have everything I wanted. With their support, my sister and I was determined to get good grades and work hard with our school work. Even in college I will keep that determination that I had in high school. So, I can get that diploma and start living a comfortable life or still pursue a higher degree.

This summer, I had the pleasure of interning at Fortress Bank, previously known as First State Bank of Illinois, at the branch in Monmouth Illinois. The internship surrounded topics that correlated with my international business degree. I gained first hand experience with everything from financial regulations to loans. It was wonderful to be able to take concepts outside of the classroom and see how they are applicable within the international business world, specifically the world of banking.

I see myself progressing in my field as well as in my education. I find my education challenging and motivating. My enthusiasm for Management studies is fairly self-explanatory: people, throughout life, will either manage or be managed. In both situations management skills are essential.
To distinguish the difference between “meaning” and “purpose” is difficult to do. Instead of two opposing ideas, these two words both have very identical definitions and contain very subtle differences, thus concluding meaning and purpose are on a spectrum. Meaning and purpose both have things in common like the abstractness, universality, human nature and nurture. The purpose and meaning to our personal lives could be a combination of abstractions. These abstractions compromise a meaningful whole that is greater than the sum of its parts. This essay will be composed of how knowledge helped with human evolution, which is the biological aspect of the how knowledge give humans purpose. Knowledge gives a purpose to continue to evolve biologically;
