I need help to create a multiple regression anlysis for this problem. Please provide as much explanation as you can. Please see attached files.
My research is based on this topic below. The data is attached in the spreadsheet. This is a multiple regression analysis. I have attached a PDF file that explains the case and the spreadsheet version with all the data recorded from the PDF file. Pleas emae sure you include all the graphs, plots and please use megastat software.
Topic:
We want to determine the primary factors that affect property crime rates in the United States. The statistical analysis of the data involves multiple-regression analysis.
Questions to answer are:
1. What are the primary determinants of property

The variables with insignificant regression coefficients can be removed from the regression model. Thus the modified regression model is
Crimes = b0+ b1Dropout + b2density+b3 Urban
Thus the primary determinants of property crimes in the United States are the 1. High School dropout rate 2. Population / square miles
Crime measurement and statistics for police departments are very important when it comes to money allotment, staffing needs or termination and it is also used to determine the effectiveness of new laws and programs. There are three tools used to measure major crime in the United States: Uniform Crime Reports, National Crime Victimization Survey and the National Incident Based Reporting System- which is currently being tested to replace the Uniform Crime Reports. Although there different tools used to measure crime, crime rates can be deceiving. Each different tool reports a different type of rate, crime rates, arrest
Project two in ECON-E 281 - APPLIED STAT FOR BUS & ECON II consisted of the students evaluating three independent variables such as Pickup Time, Delivery Time, and Mileage. The dependent variable was Cost. Only one independent variable could be selected when applying “ONLY” the p-value approach. The first step, I selected the Data then the Data Analysis tool. Next select Regression. The Input Y Range I selected the Cost data. The Input X range I selected the first independent variable Pickup time. Then check marked the boxes Labels, Confidence Level 95%, New Worksheet Ply, Residuals, and Residuals Plots. After checking the boxes I pressed OK. This gave me my first regression model. I used this process for the next two independent variables
This project is a focus on how variables such as population, ethnicity, and income affect crime rates throughout different neighborhoods throughout a city. I feel that this information finding this information could be useful to many people. For example if you are looking to buy a new home or even start a new business, you’ll probably want it located in a safe neighborhood. This study will help identify the signs of a safe neighborhood. Knowing why crime rates are higher in some areas may also help prevent the crime rate to rise in other neighborhoods. For example, if crime rates are higher in neighborhoods with
In 1927, the International Association of Chiefs of Police started a Committee on Crime Records as a system so that they can better collect uniform crime statistics. The committee felt that the offenses known to the law enforcement agencies would be the best to measure a majority of the incidences of crime in the United States of America. The committee evaluated the crimes based on its seriousness of the crime, the likelihood where the crimes had been reported, and how often the crime was being committed. The IACP selected seven crimes that they felt the law enforcement agencies would be responsible for reporting to the
Measuring crime helps criminal justice agencies to reflect on the effectiveness of policies in existence and correctly target resources. Crime statistics are therefore central to solving crime in England and Wales. In order for crime to be tackled effectively, it is vital that it is measured accurately. There are two sources of crime statistics published annually in the UK namely police recorded crime and the Crime Survey of England and Wales. According to the Crime Survey of England and Wales, in total there were 7.1 million incidents of crime in 2013-2014. Although there has been an 11% reduction in crime, several categories of crime such as sexual offences, fraud and public order offences are up from the previous year. In comparison, latest figures from police recorded crime shows no overall change from the previous year, with 3.7 million offences recorded in the year ending March 2014. Whilst Left Realists argue that crime statistics are an accurate indicator of the state of crime in society, the disparities between the sources of crime statistics suggest that crime statistics provide an inaccurate measurement of crime in the UK. Marxists believe that crime statistics are flawed and manipulated by the government in an attempt to deceive the public. Research calculated by Her Majesty’s Inspectorate of Constabulary supports this view as it revealed that more than 800,000 offences are left off the official crime figure in England and Wales each year. It is clear that
In this paper it is going to discuss violent crime and property crime. It will be discussing the different types of violent crimes and property crimes that exist. The differences between the two crimes and there impact on the United States. The statistics of violent crime compared to property crime in the year 2012. There are many things that may surprise you when it comes to the crime rate in 2012 compared to 2011 and before then.
This paper is about the crime data comparison particularly on the offense of burglary in two different metropolitan regions of the United States. The increasing rate of the burglary offense in association with the number of occurrences reported is also discussed. In addition, the factors that are affecting to the crime rate in such areas have also come under discussion.
Our dependent variable was the shells. For our prediction of how the independent variable would affect the dependent variable was that we thought the concentration acids would cause the shells to deteriorate. The types of data that was collected was the time and mass of shell. It was collected by a data table and a graph. I will analyze my data by weighing the shells first and record data and then put the shells into the acid and water. Then, after 1 week we will see what happen to shells after we put them in the acid and water.
This paper presents statistics on major factors that affects the property crime rates in the U.S.
In this report, the main concern is about the annual number of burglary on campus. Then we collected the number of burglary in different schools in the year of 2010 and 2011.
Where Y is the dependent variable (effectiveness of inventory management), X1 is procurement procedure, X2 is Funding, X3 is the staff skill X4 is Documentation.
Participants will: understand the elements of the model understand the major assumptions of doing a regression analysis learn how to verify the assumptions understand a median split
Property values in an area are important indicators to who lives there; areas with lower property values have higher crime rates. Studies have shown that “criminal damage to property, such as vandalism, graffiti and arson, has a huge impact on the value of property in a given area”, whereas, burglaries have no significant effect on property values (Gibbons). Graffiti is a precursor to crime and leads to a larger fear if crime in a community regardless of whether crime rates increase or not in the wake of graffiti.
Personal crimes are crimes committed against a person, which affects the victim in a personal way. Personal crimes consist of homicide, assault, battery, mayhem, rape, and statutory rape. This paper will identify, define, and differentiate these types of personal crimes.
The program will be used to run regressions and analyze the outputs is EVIEW8. The Least Squares method of estimation is used for the analysis of the data. The least squares method of estimation is preferred
