Statistical data analysis is the foundation of every research; it is the first step in and a research and is the part that helps researcher developed results. Statistical data analysis plays a crucial role in the field of nursing. For this research paper, the focus is on the nonparametric test, Ttest, and correlation. So, before I proceed, let me provide the definition of these test. “Nonparametric tests are sometimes called distributionfree tests because they are based on fewer assumptions (e.g., they do not assume that the outcome is approximately normally distributed)”. (,"Boston University School of Public Health " 2016, p. 1). The ttest is “a parametric statistical test for comparison of the means of two independent groups.” (Kellar & Kelvin, 2013, p. 464). According to the University of the West of England (UWE), “Correlation is a technique for investigating the relationship between two quantitative, continuous variables, for example, age and blood pressure.” (UWE, 2016)
The first study that is discussed incorporates the nonparametric test. This study was conducted in the country of India and discusses the attitudes of nursing students toward psychiatry across successive training years.” Often when nursing specialties’ are discussed psychiatry is one of the specialties that is not widely recognized. Psychiatry is an area of nursing that is always looked down…

Descriptive Analysis of Statistical Data
3004 Words 13 PagesFinal Project: Statistics II Descriptive analysis of statistical data INTRODUCTION There have always been crimes, from a treachery to an assassination. Happens in every country you can think of, and every government has to deal with it. It is really stressful to try to understand the nature of the crimes: why are they done and where could they happen next. Out of this preoccupation is that we found studies gathering data from communities; we focused on one specific crime: murders. In several…

Statistical Methods Used for the Analysis of Data
2053 Words 8 PagesIntroduction: I will discuss in this paper one of statistical method used for analyzing data using time to conversion as a dependent variable, it's called survival analysis, also it has many names such as event duration analysis, transition event analysis, time to event analysis, failure analysis and other, Definition of survival analysis: There are many definitions for survival analysis I will mention some of them that can clarifying the meaning, in general it’s a set of statics methods dealing…

Statistical Test For Your Data Analysis
1154 Words 5 PagesData Analysis and Interpretation In selecting the appropriate statistical test for your data analysis, you need to identify the question or hypothesis for the study. Are you trying to compare groups, interested in finding out if there is a relationship between two or more variables, or are you trying to predict. Some factors to consider as well are the following: (1) Research design, (2) Level of measurement: nominal, ordinal, interval, ratio, (3) Number of groups, and if they are correlated (dependent)…

Statistical Analysis : The Big Data Analytics
1399 Words 6 PagesThe big data analytics deals with a large amount of data to work with and also the processing techniques to handle and manage large number of records with many attributes. The combination of big data and computing power with statistical analysis allows the designers to explore new behavioral data throughout the day at various websites. It represents a database that can’t be processed and managed by current data mining techniques due to large size and complexity of data. Big data analytic includes…

The Concept Analysis of Stress in the Nursing Field
980 Words 4 PagesConcept Analysis of Stress: The nursing field is an occupation that is naturally subject to a high degree of stress because professionals in this field deal with grief, suffering, and death cases. The vulnerability to stress in the nursing occupation is also fueled by the fact that several nursing tasks tend to be mundane and unrewarding. In normal standards, nursing tasks range from being distasteful to degrading, disgusting, and frightening. Generally, many visits by patients to health care…

Statistical Data Analysis On The Field Of Counseling Psychology
1120 Words 5 PagesStatistical data analysis is important in the field of counseling psychology. It is important because it provides advancement in social behavioral science research. It also provides secondary analysis in research. Some topics in social research need updating or there is limited research on the topic, or the published research is too broad to apply to one’s current research study. For instance, frequency distribution is an essential need that occurs often in social research. We identify it as…

Analysis of Statistical Data
640 Words 3 PagesThe subjective cough scores were taken into account and compared with the actual cough seconds per hour. It was found that the study participants often thought that they spent more time coughing than what the data indicated to b accurate (Smith, et al, 2006). By looking at the statistical data used (median cough seconds per hour), it can be seen that people with COPD do not (on average) spend that many seconds per hour coughing. However, because of the disruptive nature of coughing repeatedly throughout…
