My youth pastor is a young guy that likes to wear snap backs and sneakers. One day he told me about an experience that he had while at the bank. He was leaving the bank and behind him he saw and old man slowing making his was out, even though the old man was far away, my youth pastor waited on him and held the door. The old men judged him by the way he looked and never expected him to do something like that. Stereotypes are when you judge somebody what he/she does or how he/she dresses. Two big stereotypes to me are gender and Christians.
One of the biggest stereotypes is society is gender. An unborn baby girl has her closet filled with dresses and hair bows but who is to say she is going to be a girly- girl. We do not know the answers; we just make assumptions based on gender. A little boy is seen as though he is supposed to like sports and want to participate. I think that one of the most popular stereotypes about Christians is that if someone is a Christian they automatically assume that he or she is perfect and better than everyone else. This statement is simply not true. No one is prefect by any means, and everyone does something wrong at some point in there life. Everyone sins. Another stereotype is that Christians hate homosexuals. Most Christians do not hate the person he or she is just against the lifestyle that they are living. There is also the stereotype that Christians do not have fun. A lot of people say Christians do not have fun simply because he or she does not drink and party. Christians do have fun; they just do it in different ways. Christians do have party, but they are different than the average party. Christians see fun as going to youth camp, youth parties, or a movie with their church. Other people may not see those things as being fun, and that is
