As a world’s leading company, Walt Disney Company is a master in terms of promotion. Besides using traditional channel, such as television, newspaper, official websites and radio, to promote, Aulani also makes use of social networking like Facebook and Twitter to create word of mouth momentum. The most impressing way of their promotion is that they welcome bloggers to come to their events and to interview their managers, which is not every company would like to does. The CEO of Walt Disney Company believes that social networking can easily reach people who might be interested in Disney and can get great their feedback immediately.
But doing that with social media will just result in missing out on new revenue channels, decrease of your ability to improve brand equity, and not being able to grasp your fan’s behavioral insights.

There are often times in life when one must take a stand. In the novel, To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee, this theme is clearly presented throughout the novel. In this novel, the characters Scout and Jem are children of a lawyer named Atticus Finch. The novel takes place in Maycomb County, a small town in the deep south in the early 1930s. This setting is what shapes the plot. Racism is so widespread in Maycomb that according to Atticus, it is known as “‘Maycomb’s usual disease’” (100). Atticus decided to go against this and defend a black man named Tom Robinson, who was accused of raping a white girl named Mayella Ewell. Atticus was very dedicated to help Tom, so much that he puts this case before his reputation and the welfare of him
They are the ones who help make up a fanbase in the first place for artists. The fans are always mentioned when celebrities receive awards, all because of the fans who support them. They are some of the most caring and understanding girls out there, from experience, who deserve respect and not get stereotyped in such bad ways. Fangirls are just normal people who have a slight liking of a certain person they believe deserves to be idolized. There are a few people who have to ruin the image of fangirlism and give it a bad name. Most fangirls are normal girls who just really enjoy the fandom they are in. Fangirls right now are mostly around the ages of sixteen to twenty two, rather than little twelve year olds like how people perceive them to be. Most of them are mature about their fandom and respect other opinions. One thing all fangirls will have in common is having a stage of sadness at one point in their lives. One of the major reasons why girls become fangirls is because they see happiness and joy in one person and just want to be part of it. It is crazy how one simple celebrity can have such an impact on a young girl's life. It could be because of their song lyrics or what they do to help anyone in need or anything that makes them worthy to be a role model to these
Promoting and giving stage time to young talent will give them confidence and the opportunity to be heard, and in some cases have a chance to develop a career that will give them a financial independence, in other cases, this talent will support their social and mental wellness to develop a parallel professional career that will give them also a financial stability.

Over a third (37%) of Twitter users will buy from a brand they follow.” With the enhanced technology that is found in our society, we constantly have it at our fingertips. Social Media is nonetheless frequently being used and onto our mobile devices. Progressively, social media accounts are created, especially on Twitter. DiMoro examines the social media effect explaining that,” Almost every team, league and sports association has a social media profile on Twitter. From the pros to the minors and from the high school athlete to the retired athlete, social media has been a force in the sports industry landscape.” The effect on social media is one way to market yourself. Therefore, it can directly influence a fan’s perception of that team or athlete. A view on Twitter statistics is quite astonishing and quotes, “During 2013 50% of Tweets regarding TV in the United States, a total of 492 million Tweets were about sports events. Sports events comprised 12 of the Top 20 Most-Tweeted-About TV broadcasts during the year, according to Nielson.” These tweets in regards to sports events are remarkable. Most people appear to be always tweeting about
Many people get stressed and the only way to get their mind off is by celebrities. In Palmers essay, he states, “We teenagers are passionate—maybe even obsessed—about our favorite stars, but that doesn’t make it a big problem (...)” (14). This means that we look up to celebrities and there is nothing wrong with it. He later states “[...] and it doesn’t mean we want to copy their bad behaviors.” (14). In Kings article she says that celebrities can affect the way we behave. But, as Palmer demonstrates, being obsessed is no big deal.
A star’s image is a concept carefully molded by the celebrity himself or herself with the aid of many factors such as audience reception and current ideological trends. Star image, by definition, given by O’Shaughnessy and Stadler, is “the qualities, ideals, and values that a star represents, based on their films and other performances, and on media information circulated about them” (430). A change of star image encompasses the sum of everything we, as in the audience, affiliate with that star. That means changing the star’s body of work, promotion, publicity, and audience practices. These factors put together is also known as star text (Professor Josh Jackson, September 8, 2016, University of California, Berkeley). Jennifer Lawrence had a particular star text before she took on the role of Katniss Everdeen in The Hunger Games and was instead known for her role of Ree Dolly in Winter’s Bone. This new role launched Lawrence into a different star text she was previously known for. Though it seemed like the change is solely based on her landing an already popular role, the change in her star text is still calculated in order for her to maintain a certain image that landed her at the top of the celebrity social ladder. This careful manipulation of a celebrity’s image as she takes on a role that guaranteed a big impact on her acting career demonstrates how a star’s image is important when it comes to maintaining what the celebrity, and everyone who is working with that
On October 12, 2015 four of my friends came to my house, sat in my living room, and watched the Pittsburgh Steelers beat the San Diego Chargers in the final few seconds of an incredibly exciting football game. The final score was 24-20. But, this particular social gathering was a little bit different as one of the fans, myself, chose to take on the role of a serious stereotypical male fan. This was achieved by dressing in my daughter’s Ben Roethlisberger’s number 7 jersey, planting myself in the seat closest to the television, cheering loudly, and refraining from my usual hostessing duties that I normally undertake. Watching sports is stereotypically considered a male activity, but recent trends indicate that women are showing a greater interest in sports and that there is now roughly an equal amount of males and females who consider themselves to be sport fans (Galyon & Wann, 2012). Women sometimes downplay their gender identities in order to reinforce their fan identities (Jones, 2008). This is just what I attempted to do as I refrained from applying cosmetics and dressing in flattering stereotypical feminine clothes, and by not taking on the role caregiver and waitress during the game in order to be an active participant in this qualitative research assignment. Typically, sports has been considered a male practice and continues ideologically as a male domain (Jones, 2008). Women have only recently been discovered as true sport fans by teams and related businesses.
Indian-Americans are people who either originated themselves or descend from an ancestor who was born in India. The dynamics in a home where parents are native Indians and the children are first generation born Indian-Americans are quite different from other hyphenated American cultures. The languages used within the homes as well as the rituals to show levels of respect are critical things implemented within a family unit of this stature. The spoken and unspoken rules of communication shape the first generation Indian-Americans and how they interact with others in their generation.
