Steve Freeling was glad he didn't have to work today, which gave him time to prepare. His flashlight was already in the glove box, where he always kept it. He wore a long-sleeved gray T-shirt as well as a pair of Levi Strauss blue jeans and a pair of white New Balance sneakers. He took a dark brown leather bomber jacket from the closet, took some bottles of beer from the refrigerator and stuffed some mini-bags of potato chips and peanuts into a backpack and a Swiss army knife into one of the jacket's pockets before opening the front door. "I'm gonna go do something with the guys. I'll be back later." "Okay, Steve." "Okay, Dad." The voices of his wife and daughter rang out as he closed the door behind him before heading out to his black 1995 …show more content…
"Okay, I'll be there in a few minutes." "Don't bother." Beep. "Jerkweed." Steve muttered as he pulled out of the driveway and began the drive toward the meeting place. When he made it there, Bernie wasn't far behind. Steve glared at him for his rudeness over the phone before opening the glove box and putting the flashlight into one of his jacket's pockets before opening the car's door and slinging the backpack over his shoulder and closing the door again. Steve walked toward his friends. Bernie looked over Steve's friends with disdain. "Idiots," he thought silently, "I could rob all of them blind." It only took a few seconds before Steve noticed and walked over to where Bernie stood. That was when Steve stood to his full height, grabbed Bernie by the shoulder and involuntarily pointed his index finger at the slightly shorter man. Not long after, Steve said calmly, though his facial expression gave him away, and just loud enough for Bernie to hear him, "Let me tell you something, jerkweed. They might not know who you are, but I do and if you try anything on them, so help me God, if you don't die in this house tonight, you will wish you were dead by the time I'm done with

He spoke of how the last week had been agonizing for his family, and how the grief will remain for the rest of their lives. This led some viewers to see him in a better light, slightly lessening the damage to his reputation. He used that to preface his next statement, bringing up the question of whether his reputation was so tarnished that he should resign his seat in the Senate. He used solemn body language and vocal tones to show the serious nature of the situation and his possible decision, staring at the camera with quiet

“I hope you are a better listener when I explain what job I have for you.” He added. “It’s clear you are better than the rest of us, rich boy and all that. But, in here your life is in my hands. If I say the word, you’re dead. If I don’t say anything, you will sign your own death warrant sooner than later.”
-I’m angry, but not at you. We tried to keep you safe but we failed to give you what you needed the most, hope.-
“Steve,” said Futility as she stepped in front of Stevenson. Everyone looked at Stevenson, indicating with their expression that they deserved an explanation.
Today was a boring day her at CTL. I spend the whole day counseling recently released prisoner from a local organizations. Normally I only have about three or four , but today I had ten. Out of all of the cases these was one that I could not wrap my finger around. The case consisted of a twenty fur year old man who was just released from prison three days ago. A lot of people always asked me if I am scared to talked to recently released prisoners. I don’t know why people always think that I am in danger because of my occupation. As he talks about his theory Steve pops a joke about doing a check for the aliens and “There’s laughter at this, but it’s a laughter that comes from a desperate attempt to lighten the atmosphere…the people look at one another in the middle of their laughter…”(Serling 672). even though they are laughing, they are still internally freaking out and do not want to show it until someone else breaks. Although everyone is not freaking out at the moment, late “ the people pick this up and now their murumming becomes a loud chant filling the air with accusations and demands for action…”(Serling 674). The fear was slowly slipping into their minds until they started becoming hunters to find the one who is lying about their true
“It’s a lot to comprehend Joe, I’m afraid to say anything because they might find me.
Rod Serling faced challenges from advertisers and censors like having to censor certain things so people wouldn’t get offended. When trying to write a story about how Emmett Till was brutally beaten and murdered for whistling at a white woman, he was forced to whittle down the story. Serling was usually forced to change/censor his topics. When the story was censored it more than often left any true story. Rod Serling chose to write about science fiction and write his own TV shows because he could write it on his own and avoid advertisers and censors. He often used his TV shows to show his anger and confusion to the audience and wrote cautionary and add morals to his tales. He did this because no one else would listen and he put those 9in his
He looked at them like they were aliens. Why didn’t they understand what he was telling them? “I think this guy may be related to us. Are you listening to me?”
He was about to take it back, when Tony thrust his phone and earphones into his hands and took off his jacket. He took his things back from Steve with a grin.
They didn’t say anything on the way down, Tony just clung loosely to him until they reached the ground and he started walking towards the back parking lot.
Minutes pasted before Arnold could even get his mouth to form coherent words. What Gerald just told him was unbelieveable. To think his best friend was hiding such a thing from him this entire time. At that moment, he felt nothing but sympathy for his friend, and the first thing that came out of his mouth was...
