This paper will cover and highlight the history and details of the Stonewall Institute of Learning and Enrichment (SMILE), its pragmatic-rooted educational philosophies, and explain how education is managed as a student progresses from Apprentice, to Journeyman, and finally to Master Mason, after selecting his or her specific area of study for the future.
The Stonewall institute was founded in 1923 and funded with a $100 million grant donated by a man referred to as Barnabas Robertos, a 33rd Degree Freemason who claimed to be from the Federated States of Micronesia. Not much is known of Mr. Robertos, other than he was a quiet man who loved Science, especially Chemistry, and always wore a distinctive hat. The money was donated on the condition of future anonymity, and after the final brick was laid, Mr. Robertos traveled to New Orleans and departed on the ship The Heisenberg was never seen publicly again.
The Institute, as it is often referred to, originally consisted on one building, and later divided up into three main areas of learning for the Apprentices, Journeyman and masons, which roughly correlate to elementary, middle and high school levels respectively. Over the years, it has expanded dramatically, and now consists of over 15 buildings or areas covering 15 acres.
The philosophy of the Institute is based on the pragmatic approach to education and the classroom, primarily the idea of always being able to adapt the classroom or material to be taught to whatever to
Waking up in the morning, going to sleep at night, and doing what one loves in between, is what success means. That, to me, encompasses being able to help people and possibly save lives as a career. There is a nobility in succeeding in certain areas one cares deeply about. Having the ability and capability to protect and serve is a strong desire within me. Developing my education, in order to further my success something that I perceive as a crucial aspect of being able to do what I love. Attending Endicott is the first step in this journey of mine.

As of late, Stone Mountain has been repeatedly mentioned on the news and social media concerning the NAACP’s request that the Confederate Memorial Carving and other Civil War symbols be removed as it pertains to the racial conflict that presided over the Civil War. Without a doubt, Stone Mountain proves itself to be an important historical site for America’s history with its origins dating back to the time of the Native Americans. Stone Mountain can be remembered by history has a location where the Creek Confederation and the Cherokee people met. As more land began to be opened for white settlement, an influx of white settlers began moving in and establishing a town at the foot of Stone Mountain. Atlanta, known as the railroad hub of the South, has many railroads going from Atlanta to different parts of Georgia with Stone Mountain being one. This later led to more business for the town of Stone Mountain as people from the city started to visit the great mass of granite. Granite was a needed rock
Living Learning Communities facilitate learning, growth, and friendship. LLCs seek students who are dedicated and motivated. Personally, I am both; throughout high school, I have worked hard and studied hard. I maintained a high GPA while participating in theatre almost every day after school. Indeed, I was able to take rigorous Advanced Placement courses along with dual enrollment engineering course while helping to run my school’s theatre company, Lymlight Production. I plan to continue both this hard work while at USF. Thus, living in an LLC will help me meet my goals.
I hereby write in regards to admission into Grand Canyon University. As a matter of fact, I chose this particular university based on its Christian values as well as the excellent students it has produced from the wide variety of quality courses. The university has also shown a commitment to developing their students all-round through extra-curricular activities and other areas with the fact that it was the first ever for-profit university- and the only one too- to participate in Division One athletics for NCAA. The institution offers me with the best environment and university to pursue my education and foster the attainment of my long term ambitions and dreams.

McDaniel College had first been created when its first building went up in 1866-1867. The school was the first institution that was south of the Mason-Dixon line and was coeducational. The first name that the school had was Western Maryland. That name originated because the institutions first board chairman (John Smith Wakefield) was president of the railroad, which had been called Western Maryland Railroad. The railroad had run through the college town. McDaniel had been one of forty colleges in the nation to be recognition in the New York Times education writer Loren Pope’s book, “Colleges That Change Lives” ("World Ranking Guide”). The schools colors are green and gold and the mascot is a Green Terror. There are about 1,629 students
Seeing a child who can't run and play, my heart is filled with compassion. Knowing that I can make a difference for that child, my heart is filled with faith. Seeing the child's smile of success, my heart is filled with love. I have been blessed to be able to attend thirteen years of Catholic school as well as becoming a Balavisx assistant instructor. These experiences have carved me into the person I have become.
The Morehead Inspiration Center is a residential recovery program, serving approximately 100 adult males, over the age of 18, that are seeking recovery from chronic alcohol or drug related addictions. The education of children has existed since the beginning of time as parents have taught and molded their children into the young adults they desired them to be. Initial training of children was not in a formal setting, although history would see numerous settings, purposes, and methodological changes. Philosophies of education have also changed through the years as various voices have seemed to grasp the purpose of educating the next generation, thus laying out objectives to reach those goals of teaching children.

In the second part of the Celebrated Horace Trilogy, Horace’s School, Theodore R. Sizer emphasizes education’s role in Franklin High and how Franklin High’s “civic education” is not of unique quality, for it restricts Franklin High’s students from breaking out of their comfort zone. That comfort zone is being satisfied with the education given and not feeding off of the school’s education to push the limit on success if a limit is even present. A caution that Horace Smith, a veteran English teacher at Franklin High, is trying to disperse through the Board of Education and Franklin High’s community; a caution that becomes evident when Smith critiques the curriculum of Franklin High. In Franklin High, there are “Exhibitions-a portfolio collected
My desire was to challenge myself and pursue my belief in life-long learning. And yes, the last eight weeks have definitely been a challenge intellectually in IDS 101. After the first two weeks of school, I seriously questioned why I would go back to school at fifty-one years of age for personal satisfaction. The days were long and I wasn’t sure I still had the self-discipline and determination that would be needed to finish. Over the last eight weeks, this class gave me numerous opportunities to hone my skills in critical thinking, research, and writing. This class has given me the necessary skills to continue toward completing my degree.
