When instituting a stratgic plan for effective communication this requires the combined effort of all members of an organization to collectively improve productivity and innovation through adoption of new tools, techniques, procedures, and processes.
This lasting and effective effort is challenging work. However, it is a way of life for organizations that want to maximize financial success, innovation, and employee engagement. Strategic communication theory requires obtaining all of the knowledge needed to have effective results.
In Managerial Communication: Strategies and Applications, Hynes points our the different levels of strategic methods to succeed in managerial communication. ( pp. 30-35).The first example is a combination of understanding communication climate and the cultural background. Communication climate is contingent by the history of deealings between managers and their emplooyees. If you have good practices in your organization because of a positive communication environment, tthat will end the possiblity of negative behaviors towards the culture

The plan will have draft messages for different crisis types and what information will remain proprietary, even in an emergency. Planning your communications during a crisis is imperative, immediate sites for sending information have to a priority. A coal mining company in West Virginia learned the lesson that, without a communications plan in place, cell phone calls and email may release information prematurely and inaccurately could have terrible consequences.
Responsible communication from top management is essential. Scandals at Enron, WorldCom, and others is a reminder that accountability with regard to providing the accurate information to the public is crucial. Organizations have a ethical responsibiitiy in implementing that executives must be honest and informative when

10. Simulation of this proactive crisis communication plan has been periodically implemented to ensure the smooth operation of the communication plan in an unforeseen crisis. The communication team members who needed coaching and technical assistance during these simulations are now trained and ready. Each member of the crisis plan has identified his part of the brainstormed disaster plan and simulated his part of the plan down to the smallest detail. The crisis communication plan has had periodic updates (Zaremba, 2010).
Communication is a very intricate part of a successful strategic plan. Collaboration with the board, executive leaders, management team all the way to front-line staff must be informed what the strategic plan is and how it relates to the mission and vision. The mission, vision, values, goals and objectives of the organization must be organizational-wide dissemination. In order to have an effective and efficient strategic plan one must first select a strategic leader to help decide what their mission and vision will be. “Strategic leadership involves creating a vision and strategy that helps the organization succeed at its mission in both the short and the long term” (Spath, Abraham, 2014).
Diagnosis. Many times conduct disorder is first diagnosed when somebody, often a child in school, comes to the attention of the authorities (law enforcement, family Doctor, and others) most often due to their behavior (American Psychiatric Association, 2013). The child may then be referred to a psychiatrist or psychologist for assessment and diagnosis. Usually there is no specific test administered, instead, the person would need to meet the criteria listed in the DSM-5. Often there is a history of acting out in school, home, neighborhood, or other social setting. The child may be enrolled in a court-ordered treatment program if they have come to the attention of the police and if a crime has occurred.
This paper was prepared for Managerial Communications, taught by Professor Cheryl Amantea during the Spring 2016 Semester.
After an interaction is initiated with a stranger or acquaintance, do your conversations typically proceed in disarray? Your mind races, you struggle with delivering a coherent message, but even more so the only thing you can focus on is your restless actions and how painfully inconsistent your paralanguage sounds. On the contrary, behind closed doors few people know that you are sort of like a big deal. Maybe you can’t relate to the prior, but it provides some insight into my own internal problem that I’ve struggled with until recently; appearing timid in certain social situations. Though, most of these episodes occur with unfamiliar people, it has surfaced among friends as well, but the likelihood and intensity of these behaviors appear to
After reviewing the outline for the process for the Strategic Public Relations Planning, it appears that the process covers the general guidelines that I believe to be necessary for nonprofit to follow for public relations. This would be a great template for nonprofit organizations starting up to follow. Therefore, I would not add any more steps to the authors current process because each step that is listed in the process plays a vital role to the process. However, the process can be altered to meet the needs of other nonprofit organizations because every organization has different approaches towards building and maintaining relations with the public.
The success of any organisation depends on efficient and effective communications, it is important for building and maintaining personal and working relationships within the organisation and with service providers and customers.

As a building principal, I am in a perpetual state of building relationships. Each day I cope with the uncertain outcome of daily conversations with a variety of stakeholders. Reading the chapter on uncertainty reduction theory (URT), I recognized many approaches I use when meeting a new person. Charles Berger’s URT addresses cognitive rather than behavioral uncertainty reduction. Behavioral reduction regards questions related to how to act when first meeting someone. Cognitive reduction has to do with ways to gather information when you first meet someone. Berger developed 8 axioms, key variables to grow relationships. Additionally, he generated twenty-eight theorems based on the outcomes of combined axioms. Both the axioms and the 28 extensions provide the background for Berger’s work “A Plan-Based Theory of Strategic Communication”. This plan seeks to help guide one through the process of using communication to reduce uncertainty.
It seems like business morals and ethics are being whisked to the side in lieu of the ever growing demand of higher stock prices, rising budget goals and investor profits. Despite the increased regulation of corporations through legislation, such as, Sarbanes-Oxley, some corporations still find themselves struggling to maintain ethics and codes of conduct within the workplace. In reviewing the failings of the Enron Scandal, one can heed the mistakes that both individual and organization malaise, such as, conflicts of interest, lack of true transparency and the sever lack of moral courage from the government, executive board, senior management and others, contributed to the energy giant’s downfall.
Ethical Lessons Learned from Corporate Scandals Ethics is about behavior and in the face of dilemma; it is about doing the right thing. Ideally, managerial leaders and their people will act ethically as a result of their internalized virtuous core values. The Enron scandal is the most significant corporate collapse in the United States and it demonstrates the need for significant reforms in accounting and corporate governance in the United States. It is also a call for a close look at the ethical quality of the culture of business generally and of business corporations (Lessons from the Enron Scandal).
Communication is the conveyance and flow of ideas from one person to another. The exchange of information takes place through letters, words, symbols and nonverbal behaviors. It involves the transmission of ideas from the sender to the receiver. Communication is effective only if the receiver fully understands the transmitted information. Many problems and failures occur in organizations due to poor communication. Objective and goals fail due to misunderstandings in the organization. Effective communication provides a chain of understanding to all participants in the organizational framework. It promotes the flow of information both vertically and horizontally.
Having a proactive communication throughout the project allows stakeholders to stay updated with the project. For a small project, it is important for stakeholders to at least know when will the project stop and end. However, for a larger project, it is critical for project managers to come up with an appropriate communication plan to discuss any issues, status, reports, scope change requests, and risk. Having this type of communication plan allows to manage stakeholders' expectation efficiently and effectively. If I have invested in a project, then I sure would love a monthly progress report on how is the project coming.
Communication is the one known or form of communication known to everyone whether you are in the United States or not. Whether you communicate verbally, body language or by gestures there will always be some form of communication between a two people. In doing so there are several elements for effective communication. As a manager, you have various types of employees that you have to get to know and understanding how others learn (Borkowski, N., 2011). Because America is such the melting pot, often you will find with employees that may have barriers to their learning. For example people moving from a foreign country moving to America, they have to adapt to the culture, the climate, the people, the way we talk, shop and attempt to provide health care in an environment they are not familiar to them. For example, sending flyers, pictures or posting billboards in the community for the residents in their native language to inform those services can be rendered here at your local health care facility or offer to hold community meetings at the health care facility.
