Different Management styles: The strategic direction and priorities of the top-level managements could impact on the HRM practices as the importance through which HR department gives the top level management could shape the HRM polices and practices. Employee’s productivity, performance and efficiency highly depend on each department, which is led by its managers that contributes to the overall success of the company. Similarly, some leaders that do not ask or obtain input from employees can also distort important information to perform their roles and lead effectively. Employees are valuable assets and their input towards their job determines the productivity and effectiveness. However the different leadership styles adopted by management can highly influence and affect employees input on productivity and effectiveness. For example: A democratic leader appreciates input from its employees and use the appropriate information to improve and create a better work processes. This makes employees feel valued and feel apart of company’s success and improve overall involvement and productivity. However an Autocratic leadership style may completely ignore and dismiss input coming from employees as they are may not be open to make changes on how they do things around the company, this may alienate employees feelings of involvement towards the company that affects the morale and productivity of employees. Similarly, other leaders may give autonomy to their employees and allow them to do what they like in terms of their work processes, this could lead to problems and lack of procedural within the workforce.
