A. Goal Identification and Definition
The strategic goal of the principal of ABC Middle School will increase the degree of program alignment within the math curriculum over the next three years so that: 1) there is clear articulation and sequencing of content within and across grade levels, 2) this content is anchored in state core standards; and 3) the evaluation measures used to assess this alignment are valid to this alignment. While the data is important the group, judicious use of their time being mindful of faulty inferences is critical. It is important that the group be comprised of members that have been part of data analysis before. This data would include three years of standardized test scores disaggregated by standards, gender, race, and age; the curriculum and pacing guides for all math classes from kindergarten thru ninth grade, and the standards and curriculums for all other subjects that integrate math skills in the …show more content…
After the teachers become fluent the school needs to call parent meetings with the upcoming sixth graders parents explain the report cards and their implications.
Teachers will need collaboration time to work on methods, assessments and share resources over the course of that first summer and each year after that. This will be vital for the successful integration of this new alignment. Additionally, teachers will need all materials at least one semester prior to implementing a new curriculum of study. This along with support from the teachers in the group and committee will help teachers; students and parents find their way throughout these changes.
The principal must ask for lesson plans for the first few weeks of school prior to beginning the school year to ensure that teachers are prepared to take on the task of the new programs and curriculum. The administration also needs to be very supporting in the beginning stages of this

In addition to analyzing a company’s strengths and weaknesses, a strategic plan also includes implementation and control techniques. While this may seem easy enough, implementing a strategic plan into an organization can be challenging. Her success has recently come in 2011. My plan is to open a second sleep study in San Antonio, Texas. Roxanne will continue to manage the center in Corpus Christ and will help me virtually manage the San Antonio location. Because Roxanne has the information needed to model her sleep center it will be much easier to open up my own sleep evaluation center based on her proposal.

Our parish has seen a drop in the math scores with the new PARCC test. With this weakness being of the utmost importance, a responsible district leader, should engage in professional practice by ensuring that their administrators and teachers are working as a team to improve student achievement. Everyone should work together in order to promote positive change concerning this districts math scores. Observations should be conducted by the administrators and by district level supervisors in order to find any strength and weaknesses that may need to be addressed. ISLLC standard 2, states that the school administrator should sustain an instructional program conducive to student learning and staff professional growth. In order to do this, everyone on the team must be open to diversity and innovation, which includes the constructive criticism from the Danielson Rubric used during observations, and adoption of new curriculums. The district level supervisors have to provide professional development for all teachers in order to implement a new curriculum
6. After looking at the data, the grade span and population that should be of most concern to the district is grades 3-5 IEP-special education. The reading proficiency decreased from 57.8% to 46.7% and the mathematic proficiency decreased from 70.2% to 54.1%. This data could indicate there was a change in the special education program that is affecting the instruction of the students.
Her philosophy of learning is “ever changing” and she believes “the learner is the most important piece of the puzzle…” . (H. Cyrus, personal communication, January 20, 2017) She works continuously with the other second grade teachers in a team to set the plan on the standards and how they will meet them each year. They do not follow a curriculum, but the Common Core State Standards (CCSS) with the Essential Learning Outcomes (ELO) and Depth of Knowledge (DOK) levels. The curriculum Math Investigations is offered in the district for her grade level, but it is not a main focus for her lessons. She utilizes curriculums provided by the district as resources and supplements for lessons alone.
The text states that it is essential that superintendents and school board members communicate effectively to find the best solutions to problems. Effective communication requiring everyone to be heard in an honest and forthright exchange of viewpoints has proven to be best for children. The Common Core has been developed as a nationwide measurement for student progress. Officially launched in 2009 as a federal funding bill, the standards identify skills that every student residing in the United States should master in English language arts (ELA) and mathematics from kindergarten through 12th grade (Gewertz, 2015).
