“Stress is a feeling of emotional or physical tension. It can come from any event or thought that makes you feel frustrated, angry, or nervous. Stress is your body 's reaction to a challenge or demand. In short bursts, stress can be positive, such as when it helps you avoid danger or meet a deadline. But when stress lasts for a long time, it may harm your health”. ( Stress can often be associated with anxiety, felling uptight, tension, and the jitters. There are two main types of stress. There is acute stress and chronic stress. Acute stress is stress that is there temporarily and will go away after the situation or event stops. Examples of acute stress are slamming on the brakes as you are about to hit into another car, having a fight with your spouse, or skiing down a steep mountain. All of these stresses are stresses that take place in the moment, but as soon as the situation ends the stress goes away. Chronic stress is stress that will last for longer increments of time. Chronic stress can surface itself when a person has financial burdens, a failing marriage, or difficult colleagues. Chronic stress can go on for a few weeks. One can become so used to chronic stress that they don’t even realize that it’s an issue. If one doesn’t manage their stress it can lead to health issues.
