A recent graduate from the Criminal Justice program at California State University, Fullerton. Goal oriented with a strong work ethic— made the dean’s honor list multiple times. I’m an individual with a strong desire in becoming a contributing factor to the success of our countries safety and security. Through experiencing social injustices, and making myself more culturally aware of inequality amongst social classes, I believe I have cultivated the leadership skills necessary for success. My willingness to reach out to the environment beyond me has exposed me to a career path that excites me and is my true passion. I plan to take action to improve the lives of the defenseless and those who are politically and socially disadvantaged. Through utilizing what I have learned by dedicating my time to service I know that I will truly make an impact on the lives of the helpless. During my years attending university I plan to continue a rigorous course load focused on a career path that truly intrigues me. I also plan on continuing to dedicate my free time to service and philanthropy. Overall, I have dedicated my high school career to becoming a leader in and out of the classroom. I hope that by attending University of Texas-Austin I will be able to utilize the resources provided to become a leader prepared to make worldwide change, continue on a path of academic achievement, and create a successful future not only for myself, but for those in generations to come as
For consideration as a Lieutenant within the Intelligence & Analysis Crime Unit, Regional Operations & Intelligence Center. my experience of supervision, dealing with outside vendors and ability to manage complex data systems would make me a good fit for the Intelligence & Analysis Crime Unit. Used by the NJSP and various outside agencies, the Voicebox system is a primary tool of police wiretapping operations. Furthermore, I have managed the entire MAPPS System software, this includes negotiating with outside vendors and writing of waivers each valued at a quarter of a million dollars or more. Having been an assistant unit head since 2011, and in charge of two enlisted and five civilian personnel, my experience in managing personnel is established. My current assignment in the MAPPS/SPU Unit has required a wealth of different skill sets including, editing and writing SOPs, completing MAPPS Supervisory Training Lesson plans, and instructing hundreds of new supervisors.
I think it would be a great service for my country. I chose to further my education in the classroom and obtain my bachelors in criminal justice.
For the past 2 years I have been part of the San Francisco Police Activities League as a Cadet. As a Cadet I’ve had many opportunities that I never thought I would have. We, Cadets, help the San Francisco Police Department with any assistance they need in big Bay Area events or fundraising. I’ve gotten the chance to also meet the Chief of Police, Greg Suhr, and now Retired Deputy Chief, Lyn Tomioka. Never in my life did I think I would have the wonderful and honorable opportunity to meet 2 excellent people and many more amazing Officers. In the 2 years, I was awarded a Certificate of Appreciation by Chief Suhr for the work I’ve done as a PAL Cadet.
I am committed to serving the public. My previous experience in this capacity included working as a Rule 9 Intern for the Pierce County Prosecuting Office. I gained

I want to work for the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) to serve alongside ethical and elite intelligence experts in the world. I was a high school senior in Oregon when I announced my plans to serve my country by joining the U.S. Marine Corps. When my father barred me from joining the military, I chose to take control of my life and within the year I moved to the Washington DC area to pursue other career objectives. Since that time, I have spent my time raising a family and developing a successful career comprised of diverse skills and experiences that I am confident would be critical to the CIA.
In the spring of 2018, I will receive my degree from University of Minnesota Duluth in Criminology with a minor in business. I have developed a strong foundation in quantitative and analytical problem solving through my studies in business,

Having met him on a regular basis over the last two years, I can attest to his effective leadership, reliability, sharpness and professionalism. Because of the remarkable combination of qualities – to which one should add that he is extremely personable and likable – he is, in my humble view, most suited to participate in your National Security Fellows Program. Other participants will benefit immensely from having him as their peers. It is for all the above reasons that I enthusiastically endorse his application. It is a great pleasure for me to endorse his candidacy. Please feel free to contact me if you have any

I plan to work while continuing my education, since I will be supporting myself financially. With that being said, hopefully I receive scholarships and loans, anything extra, I will paying out of pocket to cover the rest of the cost. There have been times in my undergraduate career where I was working two jobs, a full-time student, involved on campus, and volunteering at various places at once. English novelist, Thomas Hardy, said, “Good business leaders create a vision, articulate the vision, passionately own the vision, and relentlessly drive it to completion” (quotesgram.com). The organization I currently work for has placed a career path ahead of me filled with great personal and professional opportunity, however it will be a new road for me with a steep learning curve. The article, Social Organizations by Robert Prodanciuc highlights bureaucracy and organizational development, leadership, and employee development as they hey areas I have also come to recognize as the challenges I will face while achieving organizational goals and motivating and leading employees.
I’ve been able to grow up in a household where public service is loved and appreciated. My mom serves our community as a public school teacher for 34 years, while my dad served in the United States Air Force in the Philippines. I have been surrounded by family members in the Army and Navy, school secretaries, nurses, and teachers: individuals that are constantly serving in the public eye. To me, these people are all heroes, and known heroes for that matter. What I wish for is to be that hero, just like my family is to me and all of those they have helped. When I realized it was my life goal to work in the intelligence field, especially in this organization I understood that I could not be that public hero, but I could be the unsung hero. I could be that person that is protecting our nation and serving on the front lines of safeguarding our national security. And while no one would know, it’s the feeling that you know you are making a difference for our country, and that is what I have a passion for. Being the unsung hero with my team, my agency, my country, and constantly facing new and challenging days is what I want, and why I wish to work for this organization. It’s the fact knowing that you are saving lives and doing work that truly matters. And these will be the days that will push me to my limits to better myself, my peers, and our nation.
1. As an individual I have always been appreciative of front line responders and their willingness to step in and assist individuals in a time of need. Witnessing this has inspired me to pursue a career in law enforcement and criminal justice. My ultimate goal after completing the Correctional Services Program is to apply to police agencies, and correctional institutions.
