The long list of men who have served as president of the United States includes a wide variety of backgrounds, ages, educational attainments, and service. Each man in the top spot contributed in his own way—some were more popular than others. “The times make the president” is a true statement, alluding to the fact that the economy and world events often shape the public perception of the sitting president. Poor economic times are often blamed on a president who is unable to effect a turn of economic tide quickly enough to satisfy a populace weary of struggling monetarily. War is never popular; however, in many cases a war has actually made a president more popular than he would have been if left to his own devices. For example, Franklin Roosevelt’s performance during World War II made him a wildly popular president. On the other hand, Lyndon Johnson bore much of the brunt of the extremely unpopular conflict in Vietnam. His presidency suffered as a result, overshadowing even his immense strides in the area of civil rights. No matter how talented or likeable is the man who is elected president of the United States, his popularity is in large part determined by the times. Were a woman elected, her lot would most likely be no different.

With the help from my past experience and knowledge as president, I am able to govern and lead the school more efficiently. SCCA is known by the public in a more positive way now, and that makes me proud to say that I will be graduating from SCCA. Becoming ASB president is my most proudest achievement, and I am very upset that this is my last year of high school, but I can honestly say that I’m glad I got the chance to get my high experience at SCCA. I hope that in the future when I visit SCCA, as a college student, the school will be better than it is now, and that the legacy that I’ll leave behind will be remembered

The first IU president was Andrew Wylie. He emerged as president from 1829-1851. He was born on April 12,1789; his father an immigrant from County Antrim, Ireland. With many distinguished and honorable roles under my belt I truly believe that I am the perfect candidate for the freshmen president. I was one of the co-captains for the Clover Hill High School Varsity Track and football teams. I was also president of the relay for life club. Other leadership roles that I have obtained in the past would include; freshmen mentor, senior class advisory consul, YMCA camp consular, Middle school track student coach, lead vocalist in RCS Acapella group, Algebra II student teacher, and lead roles in the school musicals. Good morning class of 2019. I am Tori Cichelero, and I am running for Freshman Class President. As a president, my job would be to stabilize each and every single one of us, because we are new to the community of Ursuline Academy. I will make sure we are all involved, so we all get to be connected into the school. In order to be involved, we all have to take risk and try new things. Trying new things can be scary, but it can be so much better when you have a leader to guide you. A person to be admired is Barack Obama Jr. He is more than just an ex-president, he is a hero to almost every youth out there. He is helpful, hardworking, and determined. Barack Obama became president in 2007 and was our president for eight years in a row. He has two children named Malia, and Natasha Obama, and his spouse is Michelle Obama.

While Barack Obama was saying this, he was looking to change the future, and make it better. Most people don't like him, but he is still one of the best presidents to go down in history. He has done the unthinkable, unspeakable, and has surprised us all in his two term presidency. Obama is a good man for the job, because he has persuaded the public to a better place, given clear agendas and visions, has spread equal justice, pass administrative obstacles, and he genuinely cares about what is best for the United States of America, and the citizens in it.

Being president of the Sophomore Class would be a wonderful opportunity to exercise my strengths and abilities. I think, with my strengths, I would be a great candidate for Class President. I am very interactive and open to new ideas of my classmates, especially when it can better our grade and our future as students. I show outstanding leadership that encourages others to further engage in their positions and responsibilities. Leadership is the ability of an individual or organization to guide or lead other people, teams or entire organizations. An effective leader creates an inspiring vision of the future, motivates people to engage in that vision while building and coaching a team to make it effective in achieving the vision. Leadership, therefore, brings together skills that are essential in doing particular things (Tracy, 2014).This paper will focus on Barack Obama one of the world’s famous leader; his leadership traits and mistakes as well as what has made him a successful leader.

Initially, I would like to list all of the qualities I shall bring to the Student Council. I am very respectful of my peers and teachers. I have numerous academic accomplishments which I believe a president must not only be a good role model for the rest of the student body but also lead in academics as well. In addition to my academic skills I developed leadership skills that I have obtained from Beta and 4-H. In these clubs I have learned how to communicate and work in groups I am very flexible at taking on any task and conforming to each and every job when it is needed of me.

Good morning to the best family of (school). Before starting off I would like to say I love (school) as much as I love McDonalds. As I’m sure most of you know that my name is Hansley, from seeing my posters around the school you most likely know that I’m running for your communications officer in this year’s student council. Of course as you can see there is a lot of people who are giving speeches so for everyone’s sake I’ll try to keep this as short as possible.

Good afternoon class ladies and gentlemen, thank you for allowing me to have the privilege of speaking in front of you today. About this time I’m supposed to get up here and tell you a little short story about myself, and start off like ever since I can remember, I have always wanted….. But instead I’m be different and start it off a little something like this. I have not always wanted to be your class presentant, but what I have always wanted to do is say something that we all do not have the guts to say. The reason I believe I am the right candidate for this class president because I too don’t believe that teachers and other staffs doesn’t care about what we have to say or what we believe would be right for us, see if when we are going over the syllabus and we all are asking questions we get the response that we didn’t want or hope for, If you vote for me I will have the desire to help make a change, I will help with extracurricular activities, money, and fights will be the issues I plan on mainly addressing.
