I would like to thank those of you who were able to attend the Student Showcase on May 18th. Every 7th and 8th grade student participated in the event that showcased a piece of work they connected with and allowed them to present to an adult audience. I consider this first attempt at a success. Feedback from parents and students have given us a lot to think about how it could be improved for next year. We have identified a number of ideas for having the showcase in the evening to ensure that more parents are able to attend while still having participation from all middle school students. We are also discussing the best way to have students prepare for the event in individual classes throughout the year so that less time is missed in
How I join the Army National Guard, was kind of crazy My friend name Rico campbell had told me he was about to join the Army National Guard and they were offering a $20,000 sign on bonus. I join The National guard that day but my Friend Rico nevered joined. After I join and Sign all the necessary paperwork SFC Thomas said “You are going to Iqra in may !”. At that time my heart dropped out of my body.
Families and friends welcome to Montgomery Village Middle School 8th grade promotional ceremony. Today we embark on a new chapter of our lives as we end our middle school careers. We’ve spent the past three years of our lives in this wonderful place. We were given the opportunity to grow and learn. Our teachers, one of our biggest supporters, the ones we have built relationships with. Our teachers have seen us grow. They have been our guiding hands throughout our middle school career. The teachers in this school deserve the world. They motivate us each and every one of us each day. Most of us were able to mature throughout middle careers. We’ve grown aware of our surroundings. We’re all well aware of what’s to come as we open the next chapter
The Senior Show is a relatively new concept at Pinecrest High School, where the seniors, and only seniors, who are part of the theater department produce, direct, cast, and star in a single play completely by themselves. This year the seniors chose to work on a play called Almost, Maine, by John Cariani. The show was performed on May 12, beginning at 7:00 pm.
I believe I should be considered for this honor because the actions I have taken from the moment I stepped on this campus encompass the pillars of The Maroon and Gold Society. For instance, my current position within student government tasks me with helping the members of the organization to develop and harness their leadership abilities, as well as finding their place in the Loyola community. I do what I do at Loyola because I truly love this university. I became a Resident Assistant because I wanted to share and create the love and community that I experienced my freshman year. There is nothing more rewarding than seeing someone find their home within Loyola.
The event that I decided to closely observe was the Back to School Night at Van Ness Elementary School. Back to School Night was on Thursday September 8, 2016 from 5:30-7:00 pm. This event was open to all parents and community members who wanted to learn more information about Van Ness. All teachers hosted parents and visitors in their classrooms, and special teachers and staff personnel rotated around to different classrooms and passed out essential information regarding uniforms, the master schedule and was available to answer any questions. In general, the entire staff contributed to the function of the event, and made sure the parents and visitors felt welcomed and received all the needed information.
Everyone knows there's a lot of responsibility that comes with being a first generation student that plans to go and get a college education/degree whose family comes from a foreign country. People do not understand why I feel I have so much of a responsibility on my shoulders. However I now understand why there is so much responsibility that comes with being a first generation student that plans to go and get a college education/degree with family from a foreign country, thanks to my grandmother’s wise words. She said “ being a first generation student that plans to go and get a college education/degree with family from a foreign country isn’t about your success, it's about the success you bring to the family name, the pride you bring to the family/country and moreover the success you bring will represent your parents hard work has truly paid off”, at the time she said this I was only 12 years old so I didn't quite understand what she meant but it has stuck in my mind ever since. Now that I’m more mature I understand what she meant. I believe that my success or failure is no longer just benefiting or hurting me, if I fail that means I fail my family and my people and that is why going to college is so important to me. In this paper I’m going to write about what high standards mean to me, my goals, activities I’m involved in
Attending Cross Creek Early College High School is interesting to me because I will be able to complete high school and some college courses at the same time. I have always dreamed of going to college and this is school will allow me to get a head start on my goals and ambitions. My goal is to be the first person in my family to attend and graduate from college with a bachelor’s degree. Here you need to explain your career goal or what you want to major in. It is my belief that Cross Creek Early College will provide me with the support to reach this goal and to let my other family members know that a college degree will allow me to be a productive citizen.
College can be very helpful in more ways than just giving people more head knowledge. I do not disagree that people will benefit from learning a trade skill. In my personal opinion I think we should teach the basics of some trade skills in high school, and let the student decide if a college education is something they want to pursue. After coming to a college I do see that people should come even if it is for two years. The debt is always in issue when coming to school, but there are plans you can make to pay them off. Coming to college can do a lot to help anyone, but for the students that are coming right out of high school, college can be a safe place for them to experience the real world. In some cases it can give them some much needed
Coming to college has shown me information and knowledge I never thought I was capable of learning and it will be knowledge I will use for the rest of my life. I came to college last year for my own personal growth and to expand my horizons. I thought about what I wanted to do after high school and continuing my education was number one on my list. I’m here simply to better my future, expand my knowledge, increase my potential, and learn more about myself. I want to make my family and myself proud by completing college and getting a degree. Bettering my future and making sure I have the information to be able to do my future career is my top priority because it’s the only thing I have continually been working for since the 9th grade. Expanding my knowledge in these courses that will soon get me to the school I need to be at is a compelling reason for me to stay motivated enough to wake up in the morning and push myself to come to school. I hope to increase my potential and develop into
Coming from being a junior in high school to now being a senior. Senior in high school is going to be one of the most favorite and scariest parts of my life. Everyone says that it is one of the biggest part of your life. They say senior year will be one of my favorite memories. My expectations for high school amounts to worrying about deadlines for my high school projects, everyone asking about where I will be attending college, and trying to figure out what I am going to do with the rest of my life.

I would like to serve as a Student Ambassador because they were the ones who introduced me to IMSA's greatness. Without their "inside" insight, I would have like IMSA a lot less, and probably would have dropped out. Prospective students are intimidated by IMSA because of the workload; however, they don't know that there is more to IMSA than just work. They will experience things here that they would never have experienced if they did not attend IMSA. That is the reason Student Ambassadors exist; I want to show prospective students the real side of IMSA, just like a Student Ambassador previously showed me! The value of having a diverse student body is immense because diversity is the key to life. Without diversity, everyone would look the same
Worldwide advertising is the use of showcasing standards in more than one nation, by organizations abroad or crosswise over national fringes. Universal showcasing depends on an augmentation of an organization's neighborhood advertising methodology, with exceptional consideration paid to promoting recognizable proof, focusing on, and choices
Determination. The act of deciding definitely and firmly. I’ve strived to live by this word for the past 3 years of my life. As a student, I’ve always wanted to do great in my classes, get straight A’s, and miss as few days as possible, all because of my dad. In 8th grade, at my older sister’s award night, I told him, I would receive better grades than my older sister- (she received great grades but I’m highly competitive). And so the past three years have been full of studying, planning, and striving for A’s. Reaching senior year was something I’ve been waiting for my entire high school career for, because I knew afterward was college, which is the next step.
Chelan High class of 2016 have had a busy week. Students who are currently seniors are all required to complete a presentations prior to graduation. Presenting has been required for the last 10 years and even before Principal Barry DePaoli was principal. Presentations were located depending which advisor the students has. The times were started from 3:55 to 8:00 pm between those dozens of students presented the past three days. A letter is sent home to paretns and students to encourage to invite anyone.
