Over the centuries natural medications have become the origin of all medications like our well known ethical drugs and botanical and herbal medications. Throughout this paper among many supplements botanical/herbal medications carry along varies treatments alongside issues. Botanical/herbal medications most of which can be found from plants and other essentials as well. These forms of medications have become a global epidemic furthermore, despite their organic materials a few in the United States carry a regulation. According to a global study “framing [a] policy; enhancing safety, efficacy, and quality...WHO ... [is] providing internationally acceptable guidelines and technical standards and also evidence based medicines.” (World Health Organization sec 1.1). Yet, because these studies are based on international usage of these medications. Botanical/Herbal medications purpose is "defined as food, a functional food, dietary supplement or a herbal medicine” (World Health Organization sec 1.1) amongst divergent countries. Iris F.F. Benzie and Sissi Wachtel-Galor reveal in “Herbal Medicine: Biomolecular and Clinical Aspects” the Dietary Supplement Health and Education Act (DSHEA) of “any herb, botanical, and natural concentrate, metabolite, and constituent of the extract is classified as a dietary supplement are presumed safe” (Benzie Web). Benzie goes further into detail exposing if any supplements are manufactured the FDA has no responsible only the manufactory themselves. Lastly, all medications must not have any deceptive documentation. The United States under DHSEA have regulated numerous dietary supplements over the years that are open to the public. Most have been clinically trailed if any may treat patients with mild and severe illnesses or disorder.
