Success is an event that accomplishes its intended purpose. Success can and does mean different things to different people. Most people agree that accomplishing the goals that they set for themselves is success. My achievements have ranged from being a learner to just being me. Accomplishments don’t have to be a big hurrah moment, it could simply be a thought of wow, I actually did it. I’ve had my fair share of large and simple triumphs, but they’ve all been moments that have made me into who I am today. As students we are taught that learning will lead us to success, and I couldn’t agree more. I believe I have most definitely succeeded as a learner. I have always been a dedicated, hardworking student. At the beginning of sixth grade I told myself I wouldn’t get anything lower than a “B” on any of my report cards. Here I am now as a senior in high school, and I’ve maintained A/B honor roll since the start of middle school. Even better, I have only gotten three B’s in seven years. My grades are a success that I take a lot of pride in. I’m hard on myself because I know what I’m capable of, and I will do whatever it takes to achieve what I want. As I endure on throughout life, I hope to continue succeeding as a learner. An additional success as a learner takes me back to Mrs. Gitzen’s 5th grade class. It was March 2009. We were told we were going to have a geography test on the fifty states of America. She said we’d be given a map of the United States with each state…
