Globalization has highly contributed in developing collaborations between countrywide economies. However, new developments in political systems and information communication technology have been reinforced the impact of globalization on national economies (GGNA, 2011). Traditional national economies were strongly bound to financial markets. However, with the initiation of Globalization, international value added chains were able to open and extend the national production systems to an international platform. When the Unilever is concerned, it has initially started its operations in England in early 1899 and established as a company in 1930. It initially distributed oils, margarine, fats and soap only (Unilever-history, 2014). However, due to the positive financial impact of Globalization, Unilever has been able to expand its operations to over 100 countries with more than 400 brands to reach a massive consumer base by today (Unilever-brands, 2014).
