The Council on Social Work Education (CSWE) is a national association of educational programs and individuals that confirms and improves the quality of social work education to become a professional job. CSWE puts in a countless amount of effort to strive for this mission by setting up a bachelor's and master’s degree programs in social work. On the other hand, the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) is the largest membership organization of professional social workers in the world, with approximately 132,000 members. I learned there are different types of social degrees in the field of social work for a variety of social work occupations. The foundation of social work education begins at the undergraduate level to obtain a bachelor’s degree in social work or behavior science. Social workers with this level of education will learn about abuse and addiction. You learn how to education and help clients stay on track and make better, healthier, and more sensible choices. For more advance positions in social work one will need to obtain their master’s degree. The MSW program focuses more on the social services policy, procedures, and regulations. It takes a deeper look into occupational ethics and social work leadership. This program requires at least

I cannot stress enough that no matter what clients are not looking for your answers and it is not my job to give answers, but to give options for a end solution. Types of degrees required in the social work field. The social work field has a variety of positions available to meet the occupational desires of many different people. Most occupations in this field require either a Bachelor’s degree or a Master’s degree. The position that I found that was of the most interest to me, which required a Bachelor’s degree, was Probation Officers and Correctional Treatment Specialists, although the majority of the positions that were of any interest to me all required a Master’s degree. These included rehabilitation counselors and mental health counselors.

Each Social worker is created in a unique way. Some are affected personally, by issues, people, and/or situations around them. I carry my own personal experiences from good to bad ones. Becoming a Master’s level Social Worker provides me with a larger spectrum to which I could dedicate myself. Accomplishing a Master degree in social work sets me a step closer to obtaining a licensure, being a therapist, a supervisor, a program director, and many other things. As social workers, we carry different roles which can be defined by whom we work for, as to working with individual (micro), institutions (mezzo) or within a system (macro).

Social Work is a tough profession, emphasis on the community-based part, the human rights and social justice. This career is aimed to help those in need. You must take Social Work 215, 310 and complete 440 hours of Internship along with community-based experience. For Social Work 215, you need 25 hours and for social work 310, you need 40 hours. For Social Work 310, you need to make a C or better. If you obtain a bachelor’s degree in Social Work and apply to the field, you will be available for advanced standing which means it will only take a year to obtain your master’s degree. There are many social issues in America such as abortion, freedom of speech, illegal immigration, etc. Those are all very important issues but there is one that has always been brought to my attention which is drugs. Drugs are an international issue that effects many people.
