I have no special needs or requests however, however so that I start your course out on a solid foundation want to clarify a few items so I have absolute clarity in regards to some readings. As the professor of this course, you specifically required the book authored by Mark Norton titled “It’s Not My Job”. Having communicated with Mr. Norton, he advised me that he would not be back in town until around July 13, 2015 in which time he will begin processing orders. Based on Mr. Nortons response, it is my best deduction that the books will start arriving to students on or around July 17 or at the end of week two. Furthermore, having read to the syllabus multiple times, nowhere does it mention any readings of Mr. Norton’s book although it

Chapter 5 of They Say I Say is a very interesting chapter because it talks about improving your writing. In the chapter, they talk about learning how to state your own opinion without sounding biased. I believe that one great example of this is when the author exclaims, “I have a problem with what liberals call cultural differences.” This type of writing is important because you can express your own views and opinions without sounding biased. This type of writing only works if you can integrate parts of their argument into your own. Another method discussed in this text was using references to things you said prior to that. One good example of this could be when it states that,“ We would argue that voice markers we identified earlier, are extremely

#69) I disagree the class material are superfluous in fact I found that what I have learn from this class is phenomenal. The class material not just teaching us to relax, but also allowing us to know more about how our body and mind works. The class covered many different way to relax or manage our stress effectively, indeed there are some material are kind of basic, but some concept and idea are pretty new. Different authors have different styles just as humans express the way we feel by the clothes we dress in or the items we put on our bodies. Styles of types of writing are diction, syntax, and imagery. One author that can easily express his style with these ways is the author Robert Fulghum. In his short story “Dinner Dandruff” his style is expressed greatly by stating his point of views on a serious tone but adding just enough humour.
Students will have identical rights and status. I will encourage students to challenge their own attitudes and beliefs so that they can appreciate and respect each other’s views situations and opinions. Learner assessments can be done to identify disability. I should be non-judgemental. I could use hand-outs which are representative of wider society.
I am an independent learner, so this course is perfectly suited for my learning style. However, I find that I am somewhat of an auditory learner. Reading subject matter that I

Many college students find themselves struggling, while trying to write papers in their English classes. This book was written to help you though these struggles. They say/I say by Gerald Graff and Cathy Birkenstein is a book that was designed to help students be better writers. I think that this book is absolutely a huge help to anyone in need of becoming a much more confident and better writer. This book has helped me learn how to write more structured sentences and how to form them in ways that sound better and are also more grammatically correct than before. I have learned how to properly demonstrate and use many writing techniques such as making quotations, playing the believing game, how to write strong summaries, how to plant a “naysayer”, and incorporate “so what?” and “who cares?” into my writing. This book can be extremely helpful to anyone in need of assistance or for people interested in
