In order to change the detrimental effects of outsourcing on the American economy, concentrating more on improving the education of its children is of dire need. American schooling should be on the same level as any other technologically advanced country, like that of China or India. Longer hours, extensive schooling, and a more rigid schedule will create the focus again that is now a numbed, dull hum in the ears of America. A survey showed that workers who were laid off between the years 2001 and 2003 remained unemployed at the beginning of 2004. It was also recorded that 43 percent of those who managed to find work earned the same pay as they did prior to being laid off, but the remaining 22 percent did not. These facts rely on the rate at which
The exporting of American jobs is an issue that is important and will become increasingly so as more and more white collar jobs are shipped overseas. American companies in the past few decades have been sending American jobs overseas paying residents of other countries pennies on the dollar what they had paid American workers to do. This saves the companies millions of dollars on labor costs but costs Americans precious jobs.
