Hello Julia, I did apply for the Mercy College Internship Grant last week. Again, thank you for writing me the letter of recommendation for internship grant, I appreciated it. In the meantime, I just wanted you to know that everything is going well for me, working for Mr. Beane. I am very grateful to have this job experience at this moment of my undergraduate studies. This experience has made me a better professional and an employable person.
Regards,
Eonathan
The goal of the internship was to complete a 150 hours and provide a weekly summary of activities. In order to get the internship I had to do a phone screening with Mary Doe. She is the administrative assistant to Commander John Doe. Who is the Assistant Associate Director of Facility Support and also the internship supervisor for the SIU Health Care Management students at FHCC. I meet with CDR John Doe for a brief interview. We went over my goals and what I hope to gain by interning at FHCC. I felt interning at FHCC would be a natural transition because CDR Wallis has a background in Healthcare Administration.
“Never be a doctor if you’re going to have any loans to pay back.” “Don’t do this to yourself.” “You’ll never have a family if you go to medical school.” “The two worst jobs in America belong to physicians and teachers.” Without even soliciting their advice, physicians noticed my “Pre-medical Volunteer” nametag, and immediately approached me with words of discouragement. I participated in a volunteer summer internship at St. Mary Hospital in Langhorne, Pennsylvania, following my sophomore year of college, in an effort to gain more experience in the medical field and solidify my lifelong desire to become a physician. Throughout the eight weeks, I spent mandatory hours in both the Emergency Room and the Operating Room, made contacts with physicians in specific areas of interest, and spent time shadowing them. In addition, each of us in the program attended weekly business meetings in which administrators of the hospital and local physicians spoke to us about their particular positions and experiences. Unlike the many years of high school I spent volunteering at a hospital and a nursing home, where I was limited to carrying around food trays and refilling cups of water, I was able to gain hands-on and more intimate experience. Initially uneasy at the site of the blood gushing into plastic sheets draped around the orthopedic surgeon’s patient in the OR, it took only a few days to grow accustomed to the images on the television screen during a laparoscopic procedure and the
Internships are extraordinary opportunities to learn and grow. Internships are mostly designed to expand the depth and the breadth of the academic learning in the particular areas of the study. Internship is an opportunity to receive experience in applying all formulas, methods, theories in the classroom to specific experiences in the real world and to see how it actually works.
I did internship with Novogradac & Company LLP is a national certified public accounting and consulting firm with a major emphasis in the real estate sector. During my internship, I mainly audited property management company regrading cash account, accounts receivable, accounts payable, fixed assets, long term debts, revenue and expense account. Because Financial Report & Analysis I and II courses covered the accounting terms and journal entries in the last summer, I could complete assignments related to audits and journal entries. In addition, I prepared for balance sheets, income statements, statement of partners’ equity for partnership, direct and indirect cash flow statements for each rental property. I delivered required financial statements
My internship experience at the South Central Family Health Center has been amazing. After this week I will have completed one month at my internship and the knowledge and experience I’ve been able to gain has helped me develop tremendously, both professionally and personally. Among the various things that I’ve been able to do at the clinic include, assisting in the implementation of the new patient portal (NEXTGEN), work on creating various projects with the IT department (e.g., helping prepare for the implementation of ICD-10), taking a lead in the planning of the clinic’s summer health festival, shadowing various physician, and assisting the prenatal department with numerous administrative tasks. Indeed, I have had a lot on my plate this past few weeks, but the exposure and information I’ve been able learn about the current status of community health centers in urban areas has been substantial and crucial in my development. With these new found knowledge about the different careers possible within the health care industry and the duties and responsibilities that accompany them, I have been able to expand on my options upon graduation and simultaneously narrow them down to those that I find most intriguing.

My motivation is to be part of moving the U.S. government into the 21st century. The 115th Congress will face many challenges shaping U.S. technology policies and regulations. As a Congressional Innovation Intern, I will improve my capacity to effect change by applying my technology and policy skills to assisting with this effort. The internship will provide invaluable experience in learning how legislative change happens in Congress. Taken together, these will enhance my ability to effect the change I anticipate in my future career.
I am interested in the Summer Intensive Health Scholar Program because I want to get expose to the hospital’s environment while helping patients. I want to be able to see how to learn and cope with patients with different background and culture than my own. I know that different patients deal with their daily life problems differently, especially at the hospital. This is because the patients’ live can be at the most difficult time period since they are dealing with their illnesses and are trying to recover from them. I want to learn from the patients and use the knowledge and experience that I am going to learn to help preparing for my future career in the healthcare field. Also, I want to see how doctors, nurses, and other health care professions
Thank you for letting me know about the Mercy College Internship Grant. I appreciate the time you took to call me personally to inform me about this opportunity. I would definitely start working on the application from to have it done as soon as possible.
This was my first week in which I started my internship in Stony Brook Medicine Information Technology (SBMIT) at Flowerfield. I worked alongside with site supervisor Eileen Gilmartin. I learned about how “tickets” are received via “helpdesk application” from clinical side to Health IT. Ticket, has to do any issue regarding IT, question about application, and/or physician order.
I am interested in the SCI Scholar Internship Program. I believe I will be a strong candidate for this program with my experiences and leadership positions. Unfortunately. I do not meet the 3.5 GPA requirement. I do have a 3.25 gpa and I believe that I am at a disadvantage with grades due to UCLA's grades deflation. Also, my first years at UCLA I suffered with low gpa because I was prepared for UCLA's competitive nature. The last few quarters I maintain a GPA higher than a 3.5 in upper divisions and got Dean's list due to my 4.0 GPA.
This Report is bases in the movie The Intern – Myers, Nancy (Producer & Director). (2015). The Intern [Motion picture]. United States: Warner Bros. Pictures. The film is based on retired 70-year-old widower, Ben Whittaker, who is bored with his retired life. He applies to be a senior intern at an online clothing site and ends up getting the position. The founder of the company is Jules Ostin, a tireless, driven, demanding, dynamic workaholic. Ben is made her intern. She doesn't intend to give him work due to her lack of confidence in his capabilities. However, Ben proves to be quite useful and, more than that, a source of support and wisdom. The following report discusses varying factors that contribute to organizational behaviour; which is a consciously coordinated social unit made up of a group of people work together on common goals who function on a relatively continuous basis.
First, I'd like to apologize for trying to get a hold of you so much but I do have a concern with the grant application. I am a senior in high school with all my graduation requirements finished but I will not be graduating until the beginning of June. I am actually also graduating with an A.A degree in the beginning of May. Since I have all my graduation requirements met and just need to attend the ceremony to get my certificate, I was wondering if I could please still apply to the grant, it would be a massive help towards my education. Thank you for your time and this amazing opportunity. Have a great
The Bottom Line SPINE Scholarship is a crucial part of my decision applying to the Czech Hospital Placement program. The scholarship would help cover my learning experience and exploration of one of the biggest medical facility in Europe. If I have to describe the most important reason for earning this award, it would be to have a life changing experience that I am incapable of accomplishing without financial assistance. It’s unfortunate that this may be my only chance to do what I have passion for in a foreign country. After finishing my undergraduate, I have more burden of paying for medical school. Balancing the work and school life like I’m currently doing mean there will be no chance for me to do something like this again. Therefore, the
