Everyone should go to college: many people grew up hearing and believing that this was true. President Obama even calls high education “an economic imperative.” Two women authors, Stephanie Owen and Isabel Sawhill, wrote “If they [Americans] choose wisely and attend a school with generous financial aid and high expected earnings, and if they don’t just enroll, but graduate, they can greatly improve their lifetime prospects,” published in 2013 in the article, Should Everyone Go to College? Owen and Sawhill begin building their credibility with numerous amounts of statistics, educating their readers with variations in the return to education, and by utilizing visual aids to allow their audience to better understand such information. In the book, Johnny Tremain, Esther Forbes shows accurately and successfully how challenging it was for the children during the Revolution. During the 1770’s before and during the Revolutionary war in American colonies, many children had a hard time and it is shown in Johnny Tremain. With lack of education because of not going to school and a low literacy rate many kids could only become a higher class by marriage or a great skill in a select craft. Along with having a great skill in a craft kids had to work either back-breaking jobs or an inconsistent job. Esther Forbes, author of Johnny Tremain, shows the challenges for kids living during the Revolutionary times through their education, class and job career.

If the student fails, the teacher fails. If the teacher cannot compel the student to do something, to use his own mind to solve a problem, then he has failed because the student was not successful.
Schools are over populated here, 40-50 pupils in one classroom, learning process is not easy. Because of that it is impossible for the teachers to pay attention to every student in the classroom and to get almost the same result, because of that many pupils just attending the classroom without any interest in studying or learning.
Children whose parents have had poor education or lack numeracy and literacy skills may struggle at school. Their parents may show little in their education and as a result they themselves may also lose interest and starts miss behaving in class or follow in the wrong crowd of friend which will lead to them failing in their education and struggle to get employment as an adult.
However, these minute problems can be fixed over time and with care. To do this, we must first start by addressing the fact that some teachers need an incentive to give more to their students. By not helping teachers out, it is highly likely that they will not give their all in order to educate students. As a result, students fall behind and can not help themselves through the system that was initially designed to weed out the weak. The education system as it is, makes it excruciatingly difficult for students to do well because they do not fit into what is required of them. Although this may be the case, the system is not broken, and in turn, it can be fixed by first addressing the fact that teachers are not as valued as they should be. Although some teachers make it their mission to educate their students, some have a hard time putting in more time than is required of them. In doing so, students cannot get extra help if they need it and eventually end up having a hard time passing. In order to fix the system, we must first deal with the small problems that could cause a large ripple if they are
This is also why teachers should develop a great relationship with their students. If a great student/teacher relationship is developed, then the students feel very comfortable to go to their teacher and tell them what is going on. For example, a family member could have recently died, making essays difficult to write or a student just might need some more help intellectually than another student. The more teachers can help their students, the better chance there is to advancing and graduation. Thus even making the teacher look better and having a great teaching style to better advance students. “Students respond favorably to professors who teach well and respond negatively to professors who teach badly” (page 331, paragraph 2).

In the practice of teaching, it is the responsibility of a teacher not only to teach students subject matter, but to teach students in order to enable them to grow and develop as a person. Education is needed in the life of the people of God. True education means more than a preparation for life that is now. It has to with the whole being and with the whole period of existence possible to man. It is the harmonious development of the physical, mental, and spiritual powers. The world has many great teacher but God stands higher than them which is the real soiuce of knowledge. In Eden, personally directed the education
Good communication is a criterion that sets many students apart in terms of traits. This is useful when building any form of rapport between them and the lecture or tutor. A student that respectfully communicates has also come out as self-motivated and is more likely to get more help from the teacher since their problems are aired out effectively. Students that do not communicate can be misjudged and mistaken for lack of motivation and self-confidence. In addition, students who are good communicators are made, not born (Floyd, 2013).
Students are placed in the responsibility of their own learning and understanding while the teachers encourage students to be more independent and more exploratory. The teachers will foster a sense of autonomy in the learning process as they act as a source of experiences. In addition, as the students watch their teacher makes mistakes, they will learn those failures are part of the learning process. The students will soon realize that mistakes are natural in life and it will serve as stepping stones to
When teachers have low expectations of students their learning is negatively impacted and affected in several different ways. The teacher’s and the students’ attitude to their work is wrapped in low motivation, because teachers seem to think that because much is not expected and if the teacher lacks effective strategies for working with such students, then the outcome of success is low then they are less likely to want to teach these students and teach them well. If per chance the student notices the teacher’s attitude towards them then again it doesn’t work well as it is perceived as evidence of their low competence and the drive to perform well is erased.
