It was an in-between time: afternoon bygone, night not yet come, neither summer, nor fall. Leaves had had a six months’ term, but still they hung, dusty and frayed, to the trees. Blooming was past, though. A rose that very morning, round and firm to the eyes as an apple, dropped its petals at Mattie’s feet as suddenly as if winter has exploded in its heart. Days began brisk, were finger-cold in the mornings, as Jess said, but noon there was June heat and coats were a nuisance; and now, Mattie thought, lukewarm, with a funky taste like the last cracker at the bottom of the barrel.
Little Jess finished delivering the eggs to the house early and then went and asked his father if he could go search for buried treasure. He had a dream

Little Jess was getting tired and was about to give up, but then he hit something hard. “Mattie! Mattie! I think I found something!” exclaimed little Jess, “Come help me get it out!”
Mattie hurried over and helped pull the old wooden box out of the hole. “We should bring this back to the house so that Papa can pry it open,” Mattie said.
Off they ran towards the house. “Papa! Papa! I think I found something, Papa!” proclaimed little Jess.
“Let me have a look, Son, and I’ll open it up,” says Papa. “It looks like a love letter.”
“Love letter? Oh please, Papa, will you read it to us?” says Mattie.
“Dear Mattie, Not a day goes by when my mind does not think of you, you are the reason behind every joy that has ever been a part of my life. You are the one who made me see the beauty of things. Before you came into my life, I was alone and broken. Then you came in and turned my world around and changed everything for the better. I cannot thank you enough. You are every dream of mine come true and I love you with all of my heart and soul. There is and always will be a special place in my heart for you. Stay safe Mattie, and never forget

With ears deafened by the silence of the day, John Smith decided it was best to get away from his shop. He had tended to his small flower shop since the break of dawn, arranging the few orders for the odd wedding or so, but mostly just making sure the place looked presentable. However, his work would go unnoticed, as the store remained empty until he briefly closed for lunch.
O’ great muse, bestow upon me your divine knowledge and aid me in the telling of this tale. Speak to me of the two clever children whom the gods bestowed upon both fortunes and misfortunes. The two children who were abandoned by their unfortunate father and his cruel wife, far from home, only to find their way back to it. Allow me to tell of their encounters on their journey, of the horrible witch who trapped them in her alluring house made of the sweetest confections, and how they escaped her clutches.
A warm breeze passes through the house as Neva tries to air the various rooms out. Birds chirp outside of the windows and leaves rustle beneath them, but she doesn't stop cleaning to enjoy the beautiful day. Her mother walks by and jokingly chants a snippet from an ancient cartoon. "Cinderella, Cinderella," she sings. The young girl cracks a smile and giggles at the comparison. "I just want things to look and smell nice for when he gets here, that's all," she responds. "If I could get you to work this hard all the time, this place would look like a mansion," Her mom says with a coy smile. They exchange a look before chuckling and moving on in their conversation.
The abandoned marsh house, just of the shore, was said to transform at night. It's foggy windows, and mildewed wood was already enought to repel most, but when a group of children from the local middleschool decided that their lives needed to be more adventurous, the house's secrets came out to play. That fateful night, the children would learn what real fear meant. They took the smallest boat off the dock and rowed across the cold marsh, to the house. The boat creaked and groaned as it slammed against the murky, green bedding the marsh house stood on. The door slammed open, almost as if inviting the children in. The half moon lit silve light on the steps before the door and not a single sound could be heard. Those children were never heard from again. The marsh house would retain its secrets for as long as time lasted.
After a long time of walking, Hanzmo reached a populated town, a drastic change in scenery. Everything seemed gloomy and dark, just like the demon realm. Nobody there was very inviting, many people stared at him because of the hood on his head, and the addition of red eyes makes it worse. One kid even cried because of his appearance, and trying to reassure him didn't work. This place didn't seem as perfect as before, his vision had changed, drastically. This place didn't seem so perfect anymore. The look around came short, he was already tired already, it was time to rest. He found a place just to simply sit down and listen to the sounds of the night. The roaring of the vehicles and the sounds of the stray animals.
“Go!” shouted Mac to his terrified baby brother. “Wait at the opening. We’ll be right there.”
The Richmond Haunting began with a devil scratching at the window in the early hours of the morning.
Matt stop his sexual-advancement on his mother's butt and turn his attention to Jessica. "Hey Jess. Ummm, what you doing here?"
The Abandoned house stood there, with fog rising to the sky. Lights flickered being the only light in the dark….. The fog dragged a cold breeze, that sent a chill up my spine, this house has been here forever and nothing like this has ever happened before, I gulped and strolled into the cold night fog. As I approached the house, the door slowly opens and a Shadow steps towards me. The weather just dropped like 40 degrees, I don't like this at all.
The next morning, Mom headed to the grocery store. While Mom was gone, Ayza and Mike explored the house. They saw footprints leading to the basement, but they were too scared to go down.
They walked down stairs to their moms inn. “I sure hope there’s bacon,” Hal said picking up the pace.
Frost moves onto autumn and shows what little life is left begins to wither and fall, or as he put it in the first line of the third set ?Then leaf subsides to leaf.? I am so grateful now that Kellie never left me, she is one of a kind and the love of my life! The birth of Gracyn refined our unity 11-1/2 years later. Our shared wounds from this abandonment, has brought us closer. Thank you for the added fire in my soul! I will work my hardest to support Kellie, to give her and our children the
Jacob: "I see it mom, it's here. Why are you not giving it to me?"
