In the Fish Story the Professor set out a fish on a white plate said to the students “Please observe the fish” then he walks out of the classroom with no further instruction then walks out. To me this basically means that you choose how you want to look at it and basically means you can direct yourself on anything like if you want to look deeper into the object or assignment or live..
Through the beginning of the story the professor has a fish on the table through the course of 2 days and just says “Please observe the fish” then walks out in the beginning the students don’t really think nothing of it so they just take notes of the fish with little detail. I feel like what the professor was trying to do was get the students to guide themselves
The short story “What, of this goldfish, Would You Wish?’ is a emotive short story
Unfamiliar Fishes by Sarah Vowell is a book that provides an in-depth analysis of United States Imperialism in 1898, particularly the annexation of Hawaii and its citizens. During the year, not only did the United States conquer Hawaii, but also grew their empire in Puerto Rico, Guam, Cuba, and the Philippines, securing their status as a super power. After studying the Gilded Age and the United States’ imperialism tactics and reading Vowell’s work, it is easy to see a trend of how the U.S operated and the lengths that they went through to grow their empire. “Vowell uses her perspective and opinions to take you through the annexation of Hawaii and why it was important not only to her, but to history as a whole. The book consisted of multiple

We had a great…… brunch, Bryce had bear claws and of course the residents were happy.
In the short story, “Fish Story,” Rick Bass uses suspense and conflict to strengthen the plot. The father advised his ten year old son to keep watering the 86-pound catfish for the barbeque party later that evening. Throughout the day, many people come to see the “swollen, gasping grotesque netherworld” and “monstrosity” of a fish, including the family who caught the fish to repay their debt of $67 (Bass, 2009, pg. 1).

Love can come from many different people. It is not always given by a family member. Love is not always given by a romantic interest, either. Sometimes love can be given by friends, especially in a time of need. This can be seen in Chris Crutcher’s short story Goin’ Fishin’. Goin’ Fishin’ is a short story about a boy named Lionel Serbousek, whose family is killed by his previous best friend, Neal Anderson. The story follows him through his grief. Throughout the story, Lionel’s friends are there to guide him through his grief and guard him from the outside world. Lionel’s friends love him like family.
Chapter 1 of World of History, by Kevin Riley, focuses on the lifestyle of hunting gathering communities, then their transition into Agricultural, and finally to Urban Societies. I admire how Kevin Riley opened the chapter, by stating, “Men control more of the world’s income, wealth, and resources; enjoy more opportunities, freedom, and positions of power; and exercise greater control over the bodies, wishes, and lives of others than do women” (Riley 1). This demonstrates how Riley introduced the major topic contained in this chapter, which is that women became less equal, relative to men, before and after more complex agricultural societies developed in history. Therefore, throughout this paper I intended to prove how even back in Ancient times, women were viewed as being less than men.
Tim Burton’s Big Fish has elements of fables, fairy-tales, and tall-tales. At first, these elements dimish the relationship between Will and his father, Edward. However, towards the end of the film and of Edwards’ life Will discovers the truth behind the myths and starts to understand why his father is the way that he is.
The conflict in the story "Big Fish" is all about love. The relationship of Will and his father Ed in not good because they don't have communication for 3 years. But Will still forgive his father no matter how many misunderstanding his father done to him because on my opinion will still loves his father. You, and your family have a problem about you because of your behavior or grades until the time that your parents always angry and they don't want to see you anymore. But because your parents love you they will talk to you and say that "son/daugther please forgive us for what we have done to you",Then you will feel the love because even though you don't talk to them every single day your mother/father will cook for your breakfast because they don't want you to get hungry inside the classroom, and your father will accompanied you just to make sure that you will not be late for school.
When an individual is struggling in life nothing positive comes to mind. Asking for help is something not everyone is comfortable with so they only rely on themselves. Any stranger can approach a person that may seem like they are struggling and help without them expecting it. Some may expect family or friends to help when in need, yet they are the ones that don’t help. A significant theme in Finding Fish is the people who we least expect to help are the ones that actually help the most.
This was disconcerting; not only must I think of my fish all night, studying, without the object before me, what this unknown but most visible feature might be; but also, without reviewing my new discoveries, I must give an exact account of them the next day. I had a bad memory; so I walked home by Charles River in a distracted state, with my two perplexities.
Every human is selfish. It's part of our sinful nature so we can't escape it. We all have to deal with it in one way or another and some are more prone to it than others. What we often forget is that selfishness often hurts the people who get in the way of our desires. This is something that we see throughout history, individuals have fought and destroyed each other over want of power, pleasure, and wealth, all self centered desires.
Ever since I was a kid I have enjoyed fishing. Fishing relaxes my mind and allows me to get away from the stress of the real world. From the cool breeze around the lake to the fishes nibbling away at the bait, it’s all just very relaxing. There was one day where I caught more fish than I had ever caught before. The entire day had been going my way. My boss called me and gave me the day off and that alone is a good way to start your day. After getting the day off I was able to get a few extra hours of sleep. Being able to sleep in allowed me to get the some rest that I had not been able to get for a few weeks. After getting my well-deserved rest I decided to go to the pet store to get some fish bait. Fishing was not my original plan for that day but since I was able to get the day off and I didn’t have any other plans I was able to plan to do one of my favorite things.
Fishing is an activity I have enjoyed doing ever since I was a little kid. In fact, one of my first fishing voyages was with my grandpa when I was about eight years old. He was an avid fisherman who went fishing almost every day and knew everything there was to know about fishing. Grandpa got me hooked on fishing. After Grandpa died, my dad picked up where Grandpa left off. We had a pontoon, and Dad took my brothers and me fishing whenever we had the chance. To this day, I still love fishing just as much as I had on my first fishing trip with my grandpa. Many people enjoy hobbies that are relaxing and peaceful, and others prefer exhilarating activities that never have a dull moment. I enjoy fishing because it has some of both.
