It was 8:00 P.M. and it was at Ford’s Theatre on 10th Street. The President was going to watch the play Our American Cousin with his wife Martha, Clara Harris, and Major Rathbone. While he was watching the play John Wilkes Booth was entering the Theatre about an hour after the President entered the box, Booth had a gun with one bullet in one pocket and a knife in the other pocket. Booth remembered each line went to one minutes of the time so he was always on time. He was heading up for the box and saw Lincoln's slave not guarding the president but outside of it just watching but Booth showed him something that let him in. No one know’s what he showed him.
