The TV drama series LOST is a story about survival of people who arrived a mysterious island after airplane crash. Some characters may have multiple leadership styles, but I am going to focus on one leadership style. Hurley is a people-oriented leader. Before he came to the island, he won the lottery, but suffer from misfortune at the same time. His journey began because of his desire of hope. When people tried to escape from the island, he tried to find the way that everyone can live together. Nothing is important than people to him. Benjamin was born to be a task-oriented leader. Benjamin’s father abused him since he was born because his mother died after giving birth. As a result, Benjamin kills his father, and it seemed like killing
He makes sure Ren is safe and risks being arrested for to make sure the he, Ren, and Tom have money for food. He also makes sure that Ren will have a place to stay at the end of the book before he leaves. He does this by tricking McGinty into giving Ren his factory and all of his wealth in his will. If McGinty had caught Benjamin, McGinty would have killed him, but Benjamin still did this to look after Ren.
Factors that can influence an individual’s choice of leadership in any given situation are many and varied. An individual is likely to have a primary leadership style which they are most comfortable with using. Often the primary leadership style is that which most suits their innate personality traits. For example,

Maleficent daughter is trying to capture the Dragons eye but, the dragons eye scepter but, the scepter is on the forbidden fortress far side of the island. Her mother
Amira is a girl who loves to sing although she is too frightened to sing in front of people. Ben on the other hand is a very caring boy he is in the time period during the holocaust. Ben is caring and tries to help others while risking his life. Although these both have two different character traits they both show determination throughout the story. Amira and Ben show determination both in similar and different ways.
Ben was so good in his education that he was able to teach himself everything that he knew from math all the way to his very good writing skills. Between the ages of ten and twelve been had been an apprentice to his dad in candle making and also soap making. After he had finished his apprenticeship with his dad he had went on to work for his half brother James which is where he had figured out how to become a printer. Ben’s first ever public writings were 14 secret essays in the New England Courant and this shows what his views were on all of the events that have been going on. Benjamin was closed to his dad because when he was younger he had always loved being his apprentice and working with him on every job that his dad told him to do.
Ben commits suicide off Brimmer's bridge. On page 226 we are introduced to the general’s cruelty. When his father admitted to planning his son to fail, his son fell into depression. The general had stated, “It had been planned that way. You were selected for that purpose”. Ben’s father should've kept quiet or lied of the situation to make his son feel better but did not leading to his death.
His early career days were under an apprenticeship with his brother, James. After a while, like any brother would, Ben wanted to have equal power in his brother’s company. James did not appreciate the notion and declined the offer. Benjamin and his sheer determination to be just as good as his brother did not give up there. Eventually, after many requests, James and Ben got into a heated arguement. An argument between siblings further shows how Franklin was living an ordinary life. Since the argument could not be settled, Benjamin ran away from home to avoid further
Benjamin was compassion. He thought about other people before him one example that Benjamin stated was “I gave the other two rolls to a woman and her child that came down the river in the boat.” While he could've ate all of the rolls he had he was kind to give his rolls away to a family, because he knew that the mom couldn’t afford to buy any food so he was nice to help them out.
His father was a poor candle maker and had 17 children and two wives to take care of. It almost seemed impossible for Benjamin to be able to study and be successful but he sets an example for the world and new generation. He also showed us that being along is not always bad. He wouldn’t be succeeded if he hadn't left home. Everything in life happens for a reason, every person Benjamin met and learned new lessons of life helped him to get one step closer to his success.
Benjamin doesn’t ever use his intelligence to help the other animals and won't explain things. When the pigs in the story started to change the commandments, he knew what was happening
In return, all James did was slander Benjamin’s name throughout the community so he wouldn’t be able to find work anywhere else. This was a big challenge for Benjamin because not only did he have a bad name that lasted quite a long time but he also had to force himself to move to distant places like New York and Pennsylvania. He had to travel under dangerous conditions across seas to find another job. Also another challenge Benjamin faced after leaving his fathers job, was that he couldn’t find a long stable and suitable job for himself. He always faced problems at every new job he joined. On his way to New York, Benjamin meets Bradford, who was not able to offer him any jobs. But he refers Benjamin to his son Andrew who was a printer in Pennsylvania. When Benjamin gets to Pennsylvania, Andrew did not have a job to offer him. Then Andrew refers him to go work for Keimer, who is also another printer. Although Keimer gave Benjamin work, but it doesn’t last long. He later stops living with Keimer and ends up leaving the job. From these events in his life we are able to see the cycle and pattern, and he might face similar challenges in the future. Benjamin gets pushed around from places to places to find a jobs with very few people recognizing his ability and passion to write, and how much of an intellectual, he was. He wasn’t able to save up his money due
There is no one at the party or else where who understands the tension Benjamin is feeling. He docent quite understand at this point if he is a man or still a boy, the way the adults treat him almost confuses him. They want him to be a man and get his career started but yet they still treat him like a boy. This quickly turns into stress on Ben’s shoulders. This tension and stress is even further highlighted by what happens later at his birthday party.
Lord of the Flies by William Golding, young, British boys crash on an island and are
Now in the literary story Benjamin has a grandfather who at the start was antagonized, became to enjoy his grandson’s company. It is a brief account of his grandfather but a meaningful one as this was the first one who gave him a sense of acceptance. The film version gave him acceptance through Queenie and we never get to know a grandfather; though one could say the patrons at the old folk’s home could have been grandparent surrogates for Benjamin. The patrons at the old folks home taught him many things but his experience living there taught him not to fear death and what loss was about which, in a sense, desensitized the character so that when Queenie passes he is not visibly upset.
In general, a leader should be someone who has their stuff together, a stable psyche, and an open mind. My leadership style is Change-Oriented (MBTI) meaning that I like to find alternative ways to do things and introduce creative solutions to problems. I always lead by example, which forces me to learn as much as I
