Summary : ' Send Them Home '

The United States is a country that was built on immigration. The first settlers, Native Americans, represent less than 2% of the total population; the remaining 98% of the population are immigrants or decedents of immigrants. Today, the US still has the highest immigration rate in the world with 757,434 naturalizations in the 2012 fiscal year only (US Naturalizations 2012, Department of Homeland security). People try to immigrate to the United States for many reasons. Some people immigrate because they have been granted a refugee status or asylum and other people immigrate to fulfill their dreams. Immigration has an effect on the American society and economy. The US cannot survive without immigrants.

Since its founding, the United States has attracted immigrants from all over the world and consists of a variety of different cultures. Immigration has had an enormous impact on American society and economy and shaped the country remarkably.

The issue of immigration has become a major debate for everyone. Although people argue over the negative impacts of immigrants living in America such as overcrowding, less jobs due to immigrants taking them, drug trafficking, and threatening of American culture, immigrants still have a huge impact in the American society. The United States is by far the largest destination for immigrants, annually receiving over a million legal immigrants and about seven hundred thousand illegal immigrants. Many people come to the United States to get a better life for themselves as well as for the education system for their children.

Can you imagine that your little town is being attacked or even a natural disaster may be occurring and you have nowhere to go? What would you do? How would you survive? You would have to flee your home away from the tragic disaster. You would have no place to call home and all you would have is the clothes on your back. Some in the process of leaving their town never get to see their family again and are lucky if they survive. This is why I believe that refugees should be allowed into the United States under certain conditions. These include having a positive background, being eligible for a job and respecting our nation as well as the people in it. As the US turns refugees away, thousands of lives are being taken away. We could easily help them by taking them into our country. Although some people that enter the country may commit crimes, that doesn’t mean we should turn all of them away. It would cause way more harm than good. Most crimes that happen in the United States are caused by the people that are US citizens rather than the refugees. All of these innocent lives are just being taken away and as many Americans sit back and do nothing about it. When we could be out there saving lives. Our country has to step in and do something about this serious situation. There are solutions we could use to solve these problems by making sure all people that enter this country are good at heart. Outside of very few exceptions our country is mainly made up of refugees and

Throughout the history of the United States immigration has become apart of our country’s fabric which, began centuries ago. Only to become a hot topic in the US in recent years with its primary focus being illegal immigrants. Illegal immigration is when people enter a country without government permission. As of 2008 the Center for Immigration Studies estimated that there are 11 million illegal immigrants in the US which is down from 2007‘s 12.5 million people. Although the Center for Immigration Studies estimates are very different from other estimates that range from 7 to 20 million. Immigration has been a problem since the 1800s but now in the 2010s the immigration rate has increased over the years. We expect the immigration numbers to go up if nothing is done to stop from illegal immigrants coming across the border. There is many different viewpoints to look at immigration, many thinks it's good that they are in the United States because it could help the United States ecological standards. Some others don't like it at all that they are in the United States because of jobs getting outnumbered by illegal immigrants and leaves no american to get a jobs at certain companies.

Immigration is a big issue today. I.C.E , homeland security, just recently swept around the south west Kansas area. People are getting deported every day in the USA. Immigrants go to the United States to look for good paying jobs to feed the very own mouths of their family. Donald trump, a business leader is fighting the war against immigrants. He does not want them in the USA because supposedly they bring diseases and drugs. He says that's immigrants are taking all the jobs in the USA. Immigrants don't bring any of that stuff in the United States. Immigrants chose to come for various reasons, such as to live in freedom, to practice their religion freely, to escape poverty or oppression, and to make better lives for themselves and their children.

Immigration has and still a dilemma for the United States. Immigration has shaped the United States as a nation since the first newcomers arrived over 400 years ago. Immigrants contribute deeply to many of the economic, social, and political processes that are foundational to the United States as a nation. Millions of immigrants are deported every year. The ethnicity of immigrants living in the United States come from all around. Mexico has the largest population of immigrants coming to America. “The number of unauthorized immigrants living in the United States is estimated to 11.2 million, the majority of whom are from Mexico” (Boehm, 32). Some immigrants entered the United States illegally (by crossing the U.S. Border) and some through a visit visa.

Immigration has been a part of the United States history since its birth. America is a country that was found and built by immigrants. In the beginning everybody was an immigrant. There were people from all over the globe coming to America with the hope for a better life—which still holds true today. There are countless reasons that people are wanting to come to America today. Some immigrants are fleeing radical governments, while others are escaping countries that are torn with civil war. On the down side, America is not a newly discovered land with wide open land for the taking anymore. She simply cannot accommodate every individual who wishes to live here. Regulating who, when, and the quantity of those who are coming to America is extremely important. Illegal immigration has been a problem in America for decades, and there have been numerous attempts in controlling it.

From the time when the European crisis started, the migration to the Americas has increased. Among all the countries in the American continent, United States is the one that has received more immigrants since the sixteenth century until the mid-twentieth century. Since then, the most of immigrants are Latin especially from Mexico. In 2013, around 41.3 million immigrants lived in the United States. They represent 13 % of the total 316 million U.S. residents. If added the U.S.-born children of immigrants they increase to around 80 million people (Migration Information Source). Thus, it is how started and continued the immigration in the U.S.

The U.S need to also accept more refugees because of medical and mental assistance. As we can read in document #1 , a man kill his nephew because of all the traumas he has suffered. This show that this man needs mental health assistance and here we can provide with all the resources the U.S has. We can also connect this with document #2 because of the help that the little boy awaiting help. The U.S government should be like German chancellor Angela Merkel, who is admitting more refugees without worrying about the attacks that happen, and helping those who she can help and give them assistance. No everyone is the same, and we know there were attacks, but, those attacks where no most of it from refugees.

Every year, around one million people are immigrating into the United States both legally and illegally. As of now nearly 40 million immigrants live in the United States; 11.5 million of which came to the country illegally (CNN). That is nearly thirteen percent of the total United States population. The role the United States government plays in the handling of immigration from foreign countries both legal and illegal, plays a vital role in the security of the people of the United States and

Illegal immigrants have always been a problem for the United States. Entering the country illegally can result in deportation back to their native country. The majority of those that enter the country illegally are here to find a better future. As more and more undocumented immigrants pour into this country, stricter laws are being passed which in terms becomes a controversial issue.

Illegal immigration is a hot topic debate in today society as many people have their viewpoints on it. Immigration could be the second most talked about maybe first topic behind terrorism. Illegal immigration has been going on since foreigners were allowed in the US in the early 20th century. Even backed then, there were mixed emotions as many Americans did not favor foreigners and there were many attempts to restrict what they were allowed to do. Immigrants come across the border every day. According to Colorado Alliance for Immigration Reform, 700,000 new illegals enter each year and remain in the country and that there are an unofficial number of 8 to 12 million total stated by the US Department of Homeland Security in 2003 and has only increased. This has only fueled the problem is still going on today as many still do not favor immigrants in the US, especially if he or she is here illegally. Illegal immigration is a two headed beast as there is a good side and a bad side and even though many are against illegal immigration, it is important that illegal immigration is discussed as ignoring it will make the situation worse and that they are allowed to stay in the country because of the benefits that they provide for America.
