The US doesn’t necessarily have free tuition for college students, but in the state of Tennessee some students get help with paying their tuition with an organization/scholarship called Tennessee Promise. “Tennessee Promise offers two years of tuition-free community or technical college to Tennessee high school graduates beginning with the class of 2015” (“High School”). This program/scholarship organization, is trying to reach over 60,000 high school seniors to take advantage of the two free years at almost any community college in Tennessee.

By increasing taxes, to pay for education will reduce majority of the free personal freedom there is. Personal freedoms really correlates with economic freedom which means there’s going to be differences with paying for tuition and then getting it for free. You won’t get as much of the aspects.
Most people argue and say that with having free tuition would open universities and colleges to many more students. This isn’t too much true because even though college tuition isn’t free now, it doesn’t mean students are banned from applying for their ability to attend a school. For those who really wanted college tuition to be free didn’t really try too hard to achieve a scholarship in high school.
Students can receive student loans to go to school to pay for their school and books. There are no roadblocks for students trying to get their education even with not having a free tuition system. With having student loans, the lenders mostly allow repayments and are also forgiving and the payments are cheaper than a conventional loan. If they were to make school free it would probably take a while for it to be approved. Free tuition helps some people but not all. It is not as efficient with the money if most people goal is to reduce the debt of most poor and middle class people. The American system is much conserved.
