Worldview Inventory Spirituality many mean a lot of different things to different people. However, the general definition of spirituality is the connection to something that is greater than ourselves (Krentzman, 2013). Understanding the worldview questions not only allows individuals insight to their own inner thoughts, and beliefs; but allows individuals the ability to understand others. Understanding the different perspectives within will also allow individuals to interact with others who have not only the same beliefs, but different ones as well.

When asked, what a human is, many might reference the Bible and state that humans are the image of their creator (God). However, others might state that humans are in fact an ape, a machine, or a sleeping God themselves (Sire, n.d.). Materially, humans are evolved and are capable of language, imagination, creativity, and reason. Spiritually, humans are divine whose spirts are encased in a physical body until death, and can be reincarnated. What happens after death is uncertain, and is often contemplated. Death, for many, means a chance to be reincarnated, extinction, or transcendence to a higher state (Sire, n.d.). The idea of what may, or may not happen when passing is often taught in religious practices and each worldview has its own ideas.
Explanation of how it is Possible to Know Anything at all, also known as Epistemology Epistemology is defined by the Merriam-Webster dictionary as “the study or a theory of the nature and grounds of knowledge especially with reference to its limits and validity” (Merriam-Webster, n.d.). Many ask how it is possible to know anything. For many, they believe the ideology that since humans were made in the image of God, their consciousness was developed in a way that rationality developed in the process of evolution. However, for others, it is a process of evolution, an illusion, or just the simple nature of the human’s existence (Sire, n.d.).
