Summer Wayans is a second generation Wayans, a professional model, TV/Radio personality, an advocate and a philanthropist. You may know some of her family since they are considered “Comedy Royalty”, according to the words of the upmost respected Oprah. They are Keenen Ivory Wayans, Damon Wayans, Kim Wayans, Shawn Wayans, and Marlon Wayans. Some people do not realize that there were 10 children born to the "first generation" of Wayans. Her mother Diedra Wayans, Creator/Producer and CEO of Wayans Girl Production, falling in the leading pack between Keenen and Damon. Summer is the sister to Executive Producer/Writer/Director Craig Wayans and Actor Gregg Wayans.
Summer started out doing television in 2001 on shows such as BET's Teen Summit, NBC's the Challenger on Monday Night Football and ABC Family's Switched! In addition, she has utilized a combination of her talents to consult on movies such as Bring It On, Yet Again. She continuously is aiding the lives of children that are desperate need of help. Moreover, she has uplifted the divide of having only one type of skin colour present in the Senate. She has fulfilled her duties of what she desired to accomplish through her career and is a living example of how one person can affect the hundreds of thousands of lives that will change the way they see and perceive the world. She is an inspiration to many through her numerous contributions to Canada.
She’s been involved in a lot of black advocacy groups, from the National Black Deaf Advocates, being crowned “Miss Black Deaf America” in the year of 1990 then going on to being the Vice President of the association from 2002-2005. She is involved in dealing with homeland security, seeing that she became Senior Policy Advisor in 2004, her office being “Civil Rights and Civil Liberties”. Lauren Stickler is escorted by her mother, Ann Stickler, father, Tom Stickler, and sister, Meredith Stickler. Lauren will be attending the University of Texas at Austin to study Mechanical Engineering this fall. Lauren is a three year letterman and will be graduating as Ridge Point’s class of 2017 Salutatorian.
Her path became rocky quickly. At first she wanted to make the students in her school aware of the mission/goals of the Black Lives Matter. She was met with dismissal of this movement by students, as well as, teachers. She was shunned by some she considered her friends. She felt an issue so important to the safety of her fellow students and those in her community would be embraced. It wasn’t, but this did not deter her from continuing to share the voice the movement, even when she stopped being so popular.
She is currently a professional social worker who works with immigrants and advocates for better policies to enhance their well-being.
One of the traits Summer displays is her compassion towards others around her.
