Analysis of Supervision
In every institution the type of leadership style is important for a successful environment. In order to establish a successful school environment to compete globally, the leader should comprehend the basic leadership theories and styles (Glickman et al., 2010). The cultures at schools are important to the success of the students and overall of the school, but also can be very difficult to establish and maintain without the proper leadership knowledge (Waite, 1995). A collegial school is distinguish by focused adult interactions and wanting to improve the whole school learning and teaching strategies (Marshall, 2005). The professionalism it is visible respecting others views and solving disagreements in order to change seeking the wellbeing of the students. These school are recognized for establishing goals for all the students and the teachers accepting responsibility in education in a democratic environment (Glickman et al., 2010).These schools have the tendency to continue studying, teachers collaborating among each other for improvement in the student’s instruction (Waite, 1995). However, in this schools is imperative that teachers and administrators outline the leadership roles and the instructional supervision before collaborating among each other.
After defining both characteristics, the conventional and the collegial it is imperative emphasize that the school observed, present characteristics of these two. This schools conserve from the conventional characteristics the planning and use of one textbook daily, and the dependency hierarchy that the administrator usually implements.
