“Eat or be eaten.” Life is basically just a big survival game. It’s important to survive, if you don’t you will not live. An astonishing example is the USS Indianapolis. The Indianapolis was a flagship and it had just gotten done delivering parts to another ship. On it’s way back to port, a Japanese submarine shot the Indianapolis with a torpedo and the ship started to sink. The crew members got on life rafts and were stranded in the middle of the ocean with little food and water. On the third day of being stranded sharks went into a frenzied attack eating the crew members. Finally, on the fourth day they were found. So, with their courageous act of surviving they lived and got to see there family. They fought to stay alive and that is of great importance to life. A fascinating example of survival is the book Hatchet. Hatchet is about a boy who was going to Canada to see his dad. The pilot had a heart attack while driving the plane. The plane crashed but the boy managed to survive through the brutal Canadian wilderness for about two months. If it’s chilly at night you need to know how to build a fire so you won’t get freeze to death. You should also have an idea of how to build shelter to protect you from the harsh surroundings. These are two out of many necessary skills that are important to know because these will help you survive in the wild.In today’s society, people are fighting for survival. Citizens in cities are fighting for food because they don’t have a place to live. There are also survival shows( in my opinion which is stupid) the humans on these shows battle the elements through severe challenges that put them to the test. In all things the struggle to survive is important, because if you don’t fight you will not
