The short story “The World's Most Dangerous Game” by author Richard Connell takes advantage Of complex in three ways to create suspense in the story.The main character, Rainsford, is an experienced hunter who falls off a yacht and swims to an island where he meets General Zaroff, a Russian Manhunter, who hunts Rainsford. Connell uses man vs Man conflict to create suspense when Rainsford duels Zaroff in his Mansion. This is suspenseful because the reader does not know who will survive.
