Apparently writing this short statement is supposed to be as easy as describing why I want to win the lottery. But I really don’t think it is. There is one reason why I want to win the lottery; I want a lot of money. There are hundreds of reasons to attend Swarthmore. I’m a huge fan of the Honors Program. Small, discussion based classes that focus on the sharing of ideas and discourse? Sign me up! Swarthmore is unique in that it can provide that small classroom environment while still being a top liberal arts college. I’m also interested in being a part of the Swarthmore Mock Trial team. My past participation in Mock Trial was amazing and I hope to replicate it many times over. I also really liked the emails that the Swarthmore admissions team
Would you have quit at Valley Forge? Residing in Valley Forge are 12,000 of approximately 25,000 men of the Continental Army. Led by the phenomenal general George Washington, many brave lives are volunteers to fight for independence. Although the Washington’s army was very hopeful, it was having difficulties parting from Britain. Lacking a settlement for the winter of 1777, half the army retreated to Valley Forge. As they were undergoing horrific times, Britain quartered pleasantly in Philadelphia just 18 miles Northwest. Conditions are horrible for Valley Forge, lacking necessities and military aid. Although the French provided money and troops soon after, it was not nearly enough for the camp. The odds aren’t even at all and a troop’s will
valley Forge was named for an iron forge on Valley Creek in Whitemarsh, Pennsylvania. It was not the best place to set up winter camp for the Continental Army, as it was unable to defend southern Pennsylvania at the time. This location also left the vulnerable under-supplied army in striking distance of the British, who were well provisioned and secured in Philadelphia. The area was close enough to the British to keep their raiding and foraging parties out of the interior of Pennsylvania,
Cold winters, nasty cookery, worn out shoes, and lack of support was the definition of valley forge. My winter at valley forge was a difficult time, not just for me, but as well as my fellow soldiers due to many factors. The question “ would you have re-enlisted?” determined many soldiers futures. I did not re-enlist due to three main reasons, deaths due to illness, harsh conditions, and lack of support.

At the ending of 2064, the war between Minnesota and Wisconsin had finished with a very bad ending. The war had destroyed everything and families were left with nothing. Everyone struggled for their survival. Other states did not want to be involved in their crisis, so they left them all helpless. Since everyone had lost everything they had owned, they had to start over and relocate. If they start from where they had ended, it'll be extremely tough. Everything had changed and nothing was the same. As a result of the war, this is how the society of Swynhollow came to be.
“I am sick - discontented - and out of humor. Poor food - hard lodging - Cold Weather - fatigue - Nasty Cloaths - nasty Cookery - Vomit half my time - smoak’d out of my senses - the Devil’s in’t - I can’t Endure it - Why are we sent her to starve and freeze…” (Waldo, 1777) The American soldiers spending the winter at Valley Forge suffered in the bad conditions. During that winter, the disease “small pox” attacked a large percentage of the soldiers in Valley Forge, causing them to die. As a result, many soldiers left or fled from Valley Forge. Would you have quit? An American soldier at Valley Forge should not have quit. This is because they should fight for their independence, realize that they have a high chance at survival, and both Washington
British history from 1600 to 1650 wasn’t the best time of history for british people. Britain had a society from 1600 to 1650. From 1600 to 1650 Britain’s government had kings, queens, laws and punishments for outlaws. Britain also had wars religiously, politically and militarily during that time too.

1-I want to go to South Dakota School of Mining and Technology because you have an amazing electrical engineering program. There are a lot of fields in electrical engineering I am interested in that you offer. Knowing you have all these fields makes this a huge opportunity for me, knowing that I can opportunities in multiple fields. Everything about the campus and the Engineering program in general I like and that's why I want to go to your school. Why I am so interested in Electrical Engineering is because of our supermileage team. I was asked by the teacher to work on the electrical car and I worked on it with a few classmates and built the car from scratch. While working on the car I helped put everything in it including the engine and battery which was the two I mainly helped with on the car. I really liked the experience about learning how to get everything in the car to work together. I also put together all four of the car proposals, which allowed us to compete in Detroit and in Brainerd. What was on the proposals were measurements of the cars, what all was in the cars
Peregrine White was born on November 20, 1620 aboard the Mayflower. He was the first child born to the Pilgrims in America, and more importantly, he was the ancestor of my classmate Lindsay. There’s not a doubt in my mind that Lindsay regrets raising her hand that day in seventh period history and telling us this bit of genealogy (our teacher developed a habit of calling her “Peregrine” from that moment onward), but I believe that Lindsay’s anecdote had the greatest impact on me. For the first time, I was inspired to consider my own family history.
The plant known as English ivy is a climbing vine, having smooth, shiny, evergreen leaves, small, yellowish flowers, and black berries grown as an ornamental. The plant is mostly known for growing on buildings like it once did on some of the most prestigious schools in America, but the plant has other uses. It has medicinal uses, its an air purifier, but it still has some side effects.
Pulitzer Prize-winning Edith Wharton used her own life as a privileged American citizen as the basis for such aristocratic novels as The House of Mirth and The Age of Innocence . Wharton’s travels in Morocco were the subject of the aptly titled travel novel In Morocco. Wharton’s haggard married life also influenced her writing. She was very disappointed with her loveless marriages, and frequently wrote about other women trapped in depressing marriages. E.A. Washburn, a family friend and cousin to Ralph Waldo Emerson , heavily affected Wharton’s education . Washburn encouraged education for all women , and specifically praised Wharton’s literary efforts. Wharton also used the female advocate’s name as a pseudonym for her first published work,

I started this essay a month ago today, and I still feel like it is not right. There are so many things I want to say that relate to why I want to attend this program but can't find the right words to explain it. The closest I can get to explain why I want this opportunity so bad is that I have focused my whole high school experience around one single dream, going to college. When I was 7, I realized my difference from other kids; we all wanted to be something or someone, but becoming a princess or a superhero wasn't what I wanted; I wanted to learn, I dreamed of being like my teacher because she was the smartest person I knew then. I want to go to college because I wish to learn and this program appeals to me because it would give me an opportunity to experience college and at the same time learn about something I’m passionate about and I want to major in; Business and marketing.
