SWOT Analysis is a useful tool created by Albert Humphrey, which has proven to be very useful when properly applied to determine the strengths, weaknesses, and also, to identify both opportunities and threats that individuals or organization faces. Business have use it to achieve and sustain their competitive advantage in the market, while it helps individual to identify, utilize and maximize their talents. The Acronym stands for the following:
Strengths – Strengths are the qualities that enable us to accomplish our organization’s mission. Strengths can be either tangible or intangible.
Weaknesses – Weaknesses are the qualities that prevent us from accomplishing our mission and achieving our full potential.
Opportunities – Opportunities are presented by the environment within which our organization operates.
Threats – Threats arise when conditions in an external environment jeopardize the reliability and profitability of our organization’s business.
