858 Words4 Pages
The main competing firms are Qdoba, California Tortilla, and Moes. Most of these restaurants offer the same things but it is the quality and market share that separate them. Chipotle is a leader in this market. These are all priced similar which really makes it so the ingredients and marketing must be top notch. Qdoba has tried to shoot down Chipotle by running and Marketing Campaign to offer free guacamole on their entrees. This shows that Chipotle is at the top of the market and others what to try and knock them down. The E. coli issue has drawn some more business to the competing firms, but Chipotle has made a strong push to regain these customers trust and loyalty.

SWOT is an analysis tool that takes into account internal and external issues and determines what may help the firm in accomplishing its objectives and what obstacles it must overcome (SWOT Analysis: Discover New Opportunities, Manage and Eliminate Threats, 2016). SWOT stands for strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats. Strengths are defined as “characteristics of the business that give it an advantage over others.” Weaknesses are defined as “characteristics that place the business or project at a disadvantage relative to others.” Opportunities are defined as “elements that the business could exploit to its advantage.” Threats are defined as “elements in the environment that could cause trouble for the business or project.”
