PepsiCo has been on the rise for years and if things continue to prosper like they do know, they should be a lasting company for many more years to continue. PepsiCo relates to their customers and continues to create new and improved products that bring publicity to their company, while still producing the recognizable products that that they are known for.

Through its operations, authorized bottlers, contract manufacturers and other partners, the company makes, markets, sells, and distributes various foods and beverages, serving customers and consumers in approximately 200 countries and territories. The company also owns Frito-Lay company and Quaker Oats. It has bottling and distribution facilities in Asia, North
PepsiCo is one of the largest U.S based food and beverage companies. With a strong heritage. What is now, PepsiCo was first established in the late 1800’s. What started as a small one-man operation has grown into a food and beverage megabrand, with strong competition from both sectors of the food and beverage industry. With fierce competition from companies such as Coca-Cola, Kraft foods and ConAgra, PepsiCo must continue to innovate while providing customers with quality products that are priced competitively to remain relevant.
I wonder if there are any factors that would make a SWOT analysis not useful? Ultimately, if the SWOT analysis is not completed correctly, it could be problematic. Clearly, the leadership of the organization has to be in-tune with their operations to enable them to take advantage of this tool (Parnell, 2014). Notably, SWOT analysis is useful regardless of the size or type business (Makos, 2014).
Introducing a new product to the market is a very risky operation. Not only is it risky but it takes time, effort and money. In order for a product to be successful, it had to fully undergo the product life cycle. Kellogg’s has an advantage when it comes to the breakfast market as it holds the biggest market share. After providing the British public with breakfast for years, it most certainly has a larger customer loyalty base. The strong brand makes it easy for product launching as the public are already familiar with the brand. However, introducing a new product comes with its challenges and risks. Looking at the ratios, Kellogg’s has a current ratio to date of 1:1.1 . This in financial terms rings alarm bells as it shows that the company will struggle to pay its short term obligations. Kellogg’s however can operate on a low current test ratio as it has a good long term revenues coming into the business. This means that it is possible to borrow on this basis to meet its current obligation. After calculating the net present value, which gave a positive NPV of £38450million, I move that we go ahead with the introduction of a new product. In traducing a new product is a sign of innovation and growth on the part of the competitors.
