Lowe's is one of the biggest big box retailers in the world today. As a result, the company faces competition from various companies, both directly and indirectly. Two of Lowes’ biggest direct competitors include Home Depot and Wolseley PLC, both of which carry similar products in the home improvement category. Each of these retailer On the other hand, an indirect competitor of Lowe’s is any small construction/repair company. These smaller repair companies are classified as indirect competitors because Lowe’s is known as a retailer for “do-it-yourself” home improvement projects. If a repair company is hired to complete a service, Lowe’s is facing indirect competition.
Dicks Sporting Goods retailer is one of the leading companies in selling athletics products. Over the years, the company has achieved tremendous milestones in the industry. However, this being a competitive sector, there are various factors that inhibit the company 's progress. This research paper will conduct a SWOT analysis of the company, and there after offer possible recommendations on the effect.

CVS Health Corporation was founded in 1892 with its first CVS store opening in 1963. The company is headquartered in Woonsocket, Rhode Island. CVS Health is ranked 35th in the Fortune Global 500 list of the world's largest companies. The company operates over 7,800 CVS Pharmacy and Longs Drugs stores, mail order and specialty pharmacies, a retail-based health clinic subsidiary, Minute Clinic; and an online pharmacy.
Operating Profit Margin (OPM) – this ratio gives the Sainsbury’s management a lot of important information about the firm profitability, mainly with respects to cost control. A high operating profit margin means that a company has a good cost control or/ and that sales are increasing faster than costs, which is the objective of every company. Sainsbury’s operating profit margin increased in 2014 by 0.43% to 4.21% (2013, 3.78%). This means that every £1 of sale earns a profit of 0.0421 pence in 2014 and 0.0378 in 2013. Sainsbury’s increased in profit margin beats rival Tesco which has seen its operating profit margin at 4.14%, 3.76% respectively.
PAC Resources, Inc. is a small manufacturing company that specializes in high-quality specialized components for computers. Recently the company has faced a number of issues involving depleting sales, employee unrest, poor management and employee relations, and a lack of HR support. Currently, there are several pending decisions to be solved involving the organization and the HR department, human resource development, safety and security, staffing, compensation and benefits, and employee relations. It is assumed that the logistics strategies outlined in this report would apply to any divisions in Tsingtao Brewery. As such, it is also assumed that other divisions run very similar supply chain management systems to that of South China Sales Company. The final assumption is that investment by the Tsingtao Group in the supply chain is a very manageable investment for them.
SWOT stands for strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats (Ferrell and Hartline, 2014, p. 39). A SWOT analysis evaluates both the internal factors (strengths and weaknesses) and external factors (opportunities and threats) that create advantages and disadvantages to a company when serving its customers (p. 39). A SWOT analysis is extremely beneficial in helping a company determine areas of improvement (p. 39). Internal factors examine the actual company being analyzed while external factors examine the external market (customers and competition) (p. 85).

Infosys is an IT consulting company based in India but primarily doing business with North American firms looking to outsource their IT needs. With the rise of the popularity in this form of business between the United States and India, there have been several political factors in both countries that will affect the way Infosys does business. In the US, President Obama made outsourcing a hot topic of his campaign platform. With speeches such as “Say no to Bangalore, yes to Buffalo” he is looking to provide incentives to American companies to keep all of their jobs on American soil, close tax loopholes and eliminate breaks given to companies that outsource to firms such as Infosys. On the flip side though, the US government is also looking to change immigration policies to restrict H-1B visas that would have previously allowed foreign skilled technical workers to be brought in to the US on work visas.
