The 1893 Chicago World’s Fair, more formally known as the Columbian Exposition, was a fair constructed to celebrate Columbus’ arrival in the New World. Chicago was known as the White City, but did not appear as pure and spotless as its name suggested. For instance, there were many ways one could get killed. “Fire took a dozen lives a day...There was diphtheria, typhus, cholera, influenza. And there was murder.” (Larson 12). These unstoppable causes of death was one of the reasons Chicago’s reputation was tarnished. Furthermore, the Panic of 1893 struck and greatly affected the city of Chicago. The Panic’s effects included “financial crises”, “bankruptcy”, and “high rates of unemployment and homelessness”. (Panic of 1893). Because of the city’s economic depression, the fair would decide whether Chicago’s circumstances would improve or deteriorate. Eventually, the 1893 Chicago’s World Fair displayed what America would soon become in an industrial, military, and economic perspective.

Bullying is very common in most schools in the United States Around three million United States students miss class every month just because of bullying. When Alex Libby shared his story he gave a voice to millions of children who suffer from bullying, because he shared his story it changed the way most people think of the effects of bullying. An example of bullying is there was a girl named Kelby Johnson who was mocked by teachers and students because she was a lesbian, she had to stop playing basketball because her ignorant teammates didn’t want to be near her. Bullying can happen in many different way, such as physical attacks and verbal assaults. Children at the PACER Center face or encounter many types of altering situation. Their illnesses is already bad but being bullied while ill puts more on them. Children fail to realize that bullying is not just being mean but its making jokes about one another. School Anti-Bullying Programs Ineffective was written by Marc Brackett and Diana Divecha. Marc Brackett, Ph.D, is the director of the Yale Center for Emotional Intelligence, research scientist in the department of Psychology at Yale University, and Deputy director of Yale's Health, Emotion, and Behavior Laboratory. Marc has authored, coauthored, and edited over sixty scholarly publications on this subject. Diana Divecha , Ph.D, is a developmental psychologist and research affiliate with the Yale Center for Emotional Intelligence. She has worked with children with developmental disabilities, mental illness, and severe behavior problems.

Most girls bullied as young kids, remember it for the rest of their life. However, Rachel Simmons not only remembered it, she decided to find out why it happened. Simmons found that not many people study the way girls bully each other, so she did just that. She wrote a book that discusses how girls bully, why they bully, and how to help. The goal of her writing this book seems not to be able to end bullying, but to be able to spread information. Before reading this book, most people would have had no idea about the different types of aggression, and how girls use these aggressions to bully one another. However, after reading the book, any reader would have much more knowledge on the topic of bullying.

A Non-profit Organisation (NPO) is an establishment that uses its funding for the pursuit of a specific purpose such as for a charitable cause (Lorette, 2015). It is different from a for-profit organisation as its objective is to provide greater good to the society rather than to maximise the wealth of its stakeholders. The surplus revenues of an NPO are used for either its expansion, self-preservation or plans and no part of the profit is distributed to its members. NPOs are increasingly starting to operate like traditional business organisations as strategic planning and marketing is imperative for their survival.

Today, this is the most popular topic amongst the younger generation. The rise of technology has influenced our lives with the use of social networking sites and electronic devices predominant with today’s youth. What many adults are unaware of is bullying exists in many forms and is more common in the cyber world. In 2012, CBC news reporter Joan Leishman, aired “Cyber-bullying,” where she relates a story about a student named David Knight’s unbearable life entering the internet. Later in 2014, Rachel Simmons, a former Rhodes Scholar and the founding director of the Girls Leadership Institute, wrote an article titled “Cyberbullying is a Growing Problem.” Simmons’ article addressed the impact of cyber bullying in the 21st
