Juliet is in the middle of a prologue when she says “ For wilt thou lie upon the wings of the night, whiter than the snow upon a Raven's back. Come gentle night come, loving, black brow'd night give me my Romeo”. (III.iii 18-20) That quote shows personification because Romeo is being compared to snow on a raven's back. Juliet is also giving the nighttime un realistic features like loving and gentle personalities. Also it is asking for the sky to bring her true lover to her. It shows true love because she is asking something, yes an object, to bring her, her true lover and if she didn't love him, she wouldn’t have asked. Therefore that shows that Juliet has a true compassion about loving Romeo. When Romeo first met Juliet, Juliet wonders how he entered the gates community until her answered back saying:”With love's light wings did i o’erperch these wall are no stop to me”.(II.ii 66-70) The love isn’t going to get through stone walls, this quote shows personification because walls can and will hold you out, unless you have some heavy machinery to get through them with. Romeo’s choice of word show personification because your “Wings” which no one has. Will Help you get over a stone wall. They aren’t going to do anything.
