Carrie Marie Underwood was born on March 10, 1983 to Stephen Underwood and Carole Underwood in Muskogee, Oklahoma. She grew up on a small farm with her two sisters, Stephanie U. Shelton and Shanna Underwood Means. Her father was a Sawmill worker in Oklahoma and her mother was an elementary school teacher. Infact Underwood’s parents almost named her Stacy and she grew up with a pet duck. Underwood always grew up listening to mostly country music, pop, and went to church with her family every Sunday.

Overall, I think many artist find it hard to resist caving to their audiences wants and needs. Each artists craves to be better then the next. However, when thinking about selling out one artist comes to mind, Taylor Swift. Swift started as a country singer and than did a 360 down the road and started producing up beat pop music. At first, I think many people liked her because she was unique. She wrote all her songs, could sing and play the guitar wrote her own songs. Nonetheless, after a while her music got old and she became a joke only writing about her love life. Nothing stood out about her music anymore, which affected her audience. In short fiction is important to have a complex protagonist character. Characters exist largely for the purpose of moving the story along from one plot point to the next. The reader experiences the story through the eyes of the protagonist. A good development of the main character makes a good story.
