Teacher Credential Program

I am a Human Resources major who plans to pursue a teaching career at the secondary level as a Business and Spanish teacher. I am currently a junior and plan to graduate in the fall of 2017. After graduation, I will seek to obtain my teacher certification and continue to work with KISD as an educator inspiring other students to achieve a higher education.

I have a graduate degree in education,I have been teaching at university level for more than five years. At this point, I like to have an experience teaching middle school students, I was looking at differents programs.I found that achievement first teacher-in-resident program is unique in provides the "new teachers with high-quality professional development and gain hands-on experience through co-teaching and small group instruction"

Since the beginning of my middle school education and throughout high school, I played the flute and performed in Symphonic band concerts in varying venues. Music is not the only amazing quality that I have accomplished. I perform excellent in all team and solo sports. I participated in Varsity track and Football the majority of my high school career. In my spare time, I found it inspiring helping Destiny Church which is located in the Mary Pickford Theatre, in Cathedral City, and The local Boys and Girls Club in Desert Hot Springs Community Center. I speak fluent Spanish, bilingual has its advantages to translate to English beginning learners who seek to improve their English and writing skills. Staying focused and staying on top of my classes is my dedication to my goal at this great academic University establishment, is not only my priority but a great privilege . I am Teresa Loce. My desire of attending Queens College is driven by my past experience as an alumni and several other factors. Before I write about those areas allow me to describe what I am currently involved in. I have in the interim since graduating from Queens College, earned a Masters Degree in Early Childhood and have utilized my teaching license to work as a teacher in a day care center and currently a preschool. Presently I have come to the place where further licensure is needed and hence professional education to further my career. I am a first generation college student and have a strong desire to achieve professional success through hard work and determination. Throughout my entire life, I have always been encouraged to pursue excellence as a result of my Latino origin. My current professional goal is to become a successful accountant. With a good foundation, I will be able to exercise my degree in a more effective way. I have high hopes that I will be able to pursue my career goals through my current education.

My goal when I graduate this year is to be able to write and read in Spanish just as good as I can in English. The classes that I am taking and the skills I am developing for my certification will prepare me to communicate with the correct terminology and gain confidence on my ability to speak Spanish. My plans after finishing my military career is to support my wife at the opening of child care emphasized in the teaching of Spanish, English, Italian and German.

My academic plan is to earn a bachelor’s degree in Human Biology and then go into the Pre-occupational Therapy professional program to earn my master’s degree. I want to become a pediatric occupational therapist so that I can accomplish my two main career goals which are to work with children and have a positive impact on their lives. I would also like to major or minor in Spanish. I have taken Spanish classes since the seventh grade and truly love the language. I want to continue to pursue Spanish and eventually become fluent in the language so I can help even more people. I feel that my interest in the Spanish language and culture has directly influenced my love of traveling. I would really enjoy studying abroad when I get to college. I

The American Association of Colleges for Teacher Education is based in the Washington DC, USA. The American Association of Colleges for Teacher Education (AACTE) is the voice for the education institutes. There are almost 800 institutes, which comes under the AACTE (Aacte.org, 2016). They deal in the preparation of different programs, which are of high quality. Further, they assure that the material, which is being taught to the students, is in high standard.

I want to study hard and show that even a student hailing from South Central Los Angeles can make it further than anyone ever thought. I wish to return to this community in the future with a full education and help train the youth of the future here to become better persons. Although furthering my education after high school will be incredibly demanding and onerous, I will know by the newfound greatness in the students and children of South Central during my adult years that my struggle was incredibly worth it. I am applying for scholarships so I can complete a Post-Baccalaureate Teacher Certification Program. Since I am a degree holding graduate, I have less funding available to continue school. Furthermore, I took out federal student loans all throughout my undergraduate to pay for school, and I am now nearing the aggregated loan limits. However, I want to become an elementary school teacher and I plan to push through any obstacles in my path.

The area I am most interested is elementary education and certified in bilingual education. When I moved to this beautiful country without knowing anything about the culture or the language, my teachers were those who supported me and taught me the language. They helped me to integrate into this peculiar country. My teachers are the ones who inspired me to study and become a bilingual teacher. One of my goals is to help the students integrate into this culture and teach them the language with the same love and affection my teachers did. My planned pathway to become a teacher would be graduating Cumberland County College with an associate’s degree in education. After graduating, I plan to transfer to Stockton University to earn my bachelor degree in bilingual education. I would like to start working as a teacher assistant, and gain more experience that will help me when I become a teacher.

Both my educational and career plans are focusing on reinforcing the community and the importance of education. Finish college and pursuing higher education comes in as my first priority as this will have a domino effect on the other plans I wish to

Like every child I loved to play with my toys but unlike other children I would “teach” my dolls what I learned that day. In the third grade knew I wanted to become a teacher because I had an amazing instructor who ignited my dream to become a teacher. It has been a goal I’ve strived to meet since then. The Teacher Cadet Program will assist me in attaining my goals by helping me gain teaching experience, confidence in presenting, and gain awareness in teaching.

I’m also a first generation student and I'm motivated to obtain my Master's in education because is going to benefit me, my family and the community. First, by obtaining this degree I´m going to be able to help my parents financially, since they don’t make a lot of money. Second, college education is going to increase my opportunities in life and it’s going to expand my knowledge by learning and experiencing new things. One of my Career goals as a teacher is to help as many students possible. I'm going execute this by encouraging kids to go further in their education and guide them towards the right path.
