This memorandum outlines the team’s approach that supports the company’s overall strategic plan to enter a new market segment. Each team member will be assigned to work separate parts of the plan. I will carefully evaluate each member and match the assignments using the results from the personality assessments and individual leadership styles. These distinctive qualities will be very useful in reaching the widest demographics. Assessing new market segment will be extremely helpful in determining the common interests and needs of the customer. Mr. Jeong will excel at this task because it is action-oriented assignment that permits her to interact with people.
Perform Market Analysis
Moving into new market segments also requires a substantial amount of market research and statistical analysis. The objective of a market analysis is to define the potential of a new market segment, today and in the future. The team must have a comprehensive understanding of market growth rates, projected demand, and chief competitors. Furthermore, all impending obstacles must be addressed prior to entering a new market segment. To thoroughly comprehend the market place, it is imperative that the team has a good data analyst. Mr. Damian Ona is very comfortable working with numbers, and is well suited, and qualified to perform in the capacity as the team’s market analyst. He enjoys analysis and will compile the relevant data in a logical order so that it can be articulated intelligently to senior-level management. While Mr. Ona is a superb analyst, the junior analysts assigned to assist may find it challenging working with him in a team setting. There is a great importance put on business leadership, this is directly due to how a business not only functions but in how fruitful the company can become. A great leader essentially can take a business plan that is weak yet turn it into a success, whereas a poor leader stands a higher chance of ruining the best of business plans. As team leader I am responsible for organising workloads on a daily basis to ensure DVLA office service targets are achieved. I prepare a rota on a weekly basis allocating staff to different duties depending on their experience and abilities. Workloads dictate which duties take priority.

The book teaches principles of leadership that apply whether the leader is running a sports team or a fortune 500 organization. The book includes stories and examples of many leaders from micro to macro level (Founders and Authors, 2013). The basic leadership principles can be adopted by anyone to challenge status quo and increase leader productivity multifold. The book tells about the flow and hierarchy of values too (Machedo, 2013).
