I want this rank [Helper] So that I am able to mute people who advertise or people that disrespect staff. Somtimes I am online when other staff are not, so advertisers are online and they post ips or links that don't have to do with the server. I am hoping that I am able to kinda clean up the chat a little bit
What exercises did you choose (listing these out is completely acceptable with duration of each exercise, in sequence of how they were performed)?
Teamwork is defined as the combined action of a group of people, especially when effective and efficient. The film Powaqqatsi by Godfrey Reggio and the show Grey’s Anatomy written by Shonda Rhimes are two exemplary examples that showcase the idea of teamwork. Whether it be a group of dancers and musicians, gold miners, or surgeons; teamwork is a strategy greatly used. Is it more beneficial to work as a team or alone?
Naturally I am a goal driven person, and for my junior year of high school, I aimed to make the varsity lacrosse team. Leading up to tryouts I trained extremely hard in the fall and winter to get my body fit. During Thanksgiving holiday I injured by lower back while training. I brushed off the shooting pain and kept on training harder, because “pain is just weakness leaving the body right?” I barely got through tryouts, but made the team. My coaches did not know I was injured until my back completely seized during practice and I could not move. I felt guilty because I failed to tell my coaches I was injured for months and did not seek help. For future references I know if there is something troubling me, to always seek for help right away because
Football, unlike any sport that I have been a part of can define someone inside the classroom and within the gridiron. Character translates between the two and is something that I was always fascinated about. Someone that can show teamwork on the field are often able to show the same level of compassion and dedication in the classroom.
In eighth grade, 2015 I was looking forward to dance with my older sister for her two last years in drill team. So I was determined to tryout and make a line member in drill team. As the practices came along, I attended them all and gave the practices my full attention. After every practice my sister was able to work with me on the things we had learned. It was pretty feasible to make drill team. As the tryouts came along, I was anxious but then dauntless because I was ready for the tryouts. After we got done performing the tryout routine, we had to wait for the results. As the results came, I saw my number on the “2015-2016 Eaglettes” poster. Following tryouts for being a line member, I had an aspiration to tryout and make officer for drill
A major concept that we have learned about in our nursing 182 class is Teamwork. The teamwork competencies are used as foundational measurements to determines how effective the team is during problem-solving and evaluate teamwork effectiveness. The efficiency of a team’s collaboration performance based environments. The five teamwork competencies that Kreitner & Kinick (2013) discuss in the text assist, teams in organizations with establishing the framework to succeed and become effective. If Google’s HR team members were instructed ahead of time in the teamwork competencies, there should have been more focus around organizing and managing the team performance. According to the text, this competency allows teams to establish “specific, challenging, and accepted team goals” as well as “address feedback on team performance” (Kreitner & Kinick, 2013, P. 306)
Overall, I saw a really good performance from the teams I watched at the novice tournament.
The team that I work with included Jenna Perrone, Mariam Barsoum, Simranjot Mahil and Gina Abarca. We were assigned the topic “Physical Activity”. The first thing I did when we left class was research “Physical Activity” on the Healthy People 2020 website. I was able to research the topic and print the necessary statistics such as the number of adults in the United States affected by it, the definition, the benefits and the risks. The following class day, I was able to meet with them and we strategically discussed ways to complete the project as a team. We were able to delegate different sections of the poster presentation to each team member. I was given the tasks of assessment findings and campus resources.
For a group project, the teacher only gave me and my group a week to do an assignment that would normally take 2 weeks to finish. After he refused to compromise about an extension, my team and I dedicated as much time possible and worked extremely hard to finish. My 3 partners and I met for a total of 20 hours in 3 days. Blocking out time when everyone can meet was also very difficult (One of my team members has a day job on some of the most open days for me).We took one step at a time, making sure no one falls behind and that everyone does their part. Overall, We finished the project and received a good grade on it. I’ve learned a lot about becoming a servant to others and being readily
With personal appearance being an important component of an individual’s identity, generations have increasingly put great emphasis on diet, exercise, and nutrition. As a result, many businesses have flourished by capitalizing on this desire and creating unique ways for individuals to attain their goals. CrossFit, being one of those companies, strives to help the consumer attain their goals with unique dieting and a collaborative workout experience. While their suggested diets lay the molecular foundations for fitness and health, it is their workout method that sets them apart from the average gym experience. Rather than simply prescribing a workout regime, or providing a personal trainer, CrossFit allows individuals do intense lifting and metabolic conditioning in a team environment. While the results have proven to be superior to most exercise regimes, what sets CrossFit apart is that anyone who joins becomes a part of a revolutionary and elite workout community.
The team observation that I chose to do was the girls’ Volleyball team. I observed the volleyball team for two days on September 24th and the 25th. The head coach of the girls’ Volleyball team which is Coach Rose White let me observed the team’s practices for the away game they had that following Monday, September 26th. The girls’ Volleyball team was going against their rival team, Virginia Union University. Since Virginia Union girls’ volleyball team was rival team, Coach White made the practice twice as hard. Before the team observation, Coach White had sent me an email a schedule of the times and dates that the volleyball team had practices of that week. During the practices on Saturday and Sunday, the volleyball team practice from 9:00 in the morning to 12:00 in the evening for 3 hours at the Multi-Purpose Center practice gym.
I believe that my group and I worked really well together. We all had different ideas and suggestions that came together to make our presentation. While being able to suggest our opinions to one another, we were also all able to listen to one another which made the group work really well together. We didn’t specifically assign one task to one person. In our group, we would write on one of the topics that we chose on a piece of paper and then pass it to the next person. On that piece of paper, we were able to either start a new point or branch off from someone else’s idea(s). This process seemed to work really well since we were able to get our own ideas out and help each other make each point as strong as possible. For this reason, all of
